So incredibly disgusted. Was texting w/ some friends that 1997 was the only F$U game I haven't watched or attended in 40-45 years. Tonight should've been the second one. This one is hitting a little harder than most disappointments of the last almost two decades. Maybe it has to do w/ me about to be sixty one and knowing that the clock seems to move a little faster these days. Realizing that another great run may or may not happen the way things are going.

My beloved program is breaking in ways that I couldn't imagine it would. Especially from the point of great hope I had during the offseason.

Those late 90s teams would crucify this squad...that said, sadly we still haven't hit rock bottom..it's coming tho.
I’m torn on that. Perhaps this year is. But if it’s the same scheme I can see next year being even worse, with a Miami squad averaging 10 points a game on offense.

So far Mario is reminding me of Kim Helton, who took over a run n shoot, prolific Houston team in 1993 and installed a conservative, pro style offense. Houston became abysmal, and it took them FIVE seasons just to get to a winning season.

I acually feel bad for you older 'vets', you might not see us ever be good again...

(*Thinks about it) Fk will I. Im' in my mid thirties...
It’s insane. I’m 38 and from 91 to 04 we witnessed what, maybe 15 losses, mostly due to probation? Mario might have that many just in year 1 and 2 at this rate.

Just wait til our vaunted gunslinger duo of Garcia and Brown combine for 0 TDs against Clemson and Pitt.

That will be 5 of 12 games with ZERO TDs.

There are parallels…

Schedule was tough though: at USC, at Michigan, at A&M every other week for the first 5 weeks was a brutal setup. Still, we would have had a chance with Jenkins in those games. Instead, Helton came in, installed the pro-set offense and wasted Jimmy Klingler’s and Lamar Smith’s last year as we didn’t have the road-grade offensive linemen yet that could run that offense against decent teams. Ended up 1-9-1 instead with a win over Baylor and a tie against SMU.

On the positive side, you were here during the great times. Some guys here may not have been born until 1998 and up. If you were born in 98, you were 5 when the Canes last run began to end
