2022 Summer Ball

Man you never know how a season can play out but he has to be on the short list of early favorite for the Golden Spikes award next year. Hopefully he takes that next step to being a .350 plus 22-25 homeruns. His confidence will be sky high.

Ziehl and Rosario are dealing too. This team will have top 10 talent again next year if all the returners progress like most top programs and a few of these incoming guys fill some voids.

Now will that all happen is the question. But at worst this is a Super Regional Roster.

Cape Cod League
Rosario is still on the Hyannis roster but hasn’t pitched since June 30

Pitelli has turned it around in a major way. He’s batting .280 (21 for 75) with 3 HR (two in one recent game) and 11 RBI. He has 20K/7BB and has stolen seven bases.

Farrow is done for Wareham. It was a struggle for him, batting .143 (4 for 28) with 3 RBI. 18K/2BB

Kayfus is in a relative slump with his average down to .282 (11 for 39) with 5 RBI and a stolen base. 7K/4BB

Ziehl is 1-0 with a 2.18 ERA in five appearances (one start). He has 18K/5BB and a WHIP of 1.05.

Garcia needs to take that 2 spot in the lineup next year and make it his own.

Northwoods league is a grind. Coming off a college season the Northwoods League will test how much you love the game. It has a minor league feel to it. Playing daily, travel, locations, etc. So if you put up even 1/2 decent numbers its impressive. Hopefully those two can carry it over.

CIS favorite Alex Toral has regressed to his mean and is batting .240 in the MLBD league. Anyone remember Hylan Hall? He was a Cane briefly before being booted off the team in the fall. He played for the same MLBD team as Toral and has had a pretty awful college career. Dodged a bullet I guess.

The Hyannis Twitter admin sure loves Rosario. In fairness, I’d have loved him too with a *double checks notes* 1.74 ERA and .87 WHIP. He has 13K/1BB in 10.1 Cape innings.

Rosario is done for the summer. This was his final line.
