Before you're able to do so.....

Yes, he is out of state. Something about "No chance, don't need to look at. Why do you need to post this?, I get my feelings hurt because you posted a kid on my forum..." Boo-hoo. Don't enter my threads if this is you.

Now onto Ashaad.

He is a 6-0 200 bruiser. He is not slow by any means, but he is also not going to break the 80 yarders with pure speed.
He will however, run a few people over and gain those tough yards that we need.
I know its been a combination of line play and not having that short yardage type back, but he could be just that, plus more.
Typically with more power leaning backs, you might see slow feet or heavy feet, but he is very agile.
He is a mix of Ballage and Eddie George in a sense. A north and south runner, that also can accelerate and pick up bigger gains.

He plays for Easton High School in Louisiana.
Might just be someone to look at if things with backs in FL don't go how we want.

We should definitley try to get him. He would be a great addition to the class. I assume we have to compete with schools like Bama and LSU.

Good looking kid who is most likely SEC bound. That being said, I do hope we can squeeze a few croots out of NO, LA area every year.

was not to impressed with that film tbh didnt seem very explosive and lacks the size to be a true downhill back at the college level

OP threw out some big comparisons with Ballage and George...but looks more like a Mike James type of back to me. That's not a bad thing in my eyes. Not necessarily elite in any one facet as a RB, but very good all around. I'd check his work ethic, and if it checks out - take him and hope he's as steady as James was for us.

Mike James was a heck of a player. Wish we had more like him.

As to running style, this kid is similar. Also has some DJ Dallas in him, but don't know if he has DJ's or Mike's mental makeup

I covered the Louisiana 4A state semis when Warren Easton played Leesville. Clayton was the best player on the field. He'd be a great complement to Chaney in this class if it could happen.
