2020 Max Preps all state team - 7 Canes.

We were respectable. I have no complaints. Hopeful we can pull T2, and then outside of the obvious glare of missing on ALL the CBs on the list we would be considered HIGHLY successful in regards to recruiting as it pertains to the 2020 and 2021 class if we're judging from the All State performers list. Definitely headed in the right direction.

I am surprised at how many on the list are going to Michigan. None to OSU.
Aside from Jaydon Hood & Ja’Den McBurrows, all their “Florida” commits are really IMG kids from other states.

Greg Crippen is from Massachusetts & JJ McCarthy is from Illinois.

Just like JC Latham for Bama gets counted as a ‘Florida” commit, but he’s originally from Wisconsin.

Same with Tyler Booker he’s a highly rated 2022 OG that will be counted towards FL, but is actually from New Jersey.

A lot of uncommitted guys on there. We have a chance with any of them...
Some yes, it varies on degrees of “chance” though.

Anthony Hankerson - 2022 RB from STA, have a good chance if we want him

Julian Armella - 2022 OT from STA/Gully Prep/Columbus - Nole legacy, but has an estranged relationship with his pops, moms wants him close to home, but he’s a high ranked 5-star OL so who knows how that will end up, expect rollercoaster recruitment.

Tellek Lockette - 2022 OG from MNW, son of Telly Lockette who is currently an analyst on staff, Miami lock if we offer him.

Wesley Bissainthe - 2022 LB from Miami Central, will be one of the #1 targets on Defense for the 22 class, must get prospect. Highly touted borderline 5-star LB, interested in Miami, but will be a marathon recruitment.

Tray Brown - 2022 LB from Gibbons, good downhill LB, questions about his sideline to sideline speed, but plays similar to Shaq Quarterman, as far as interest too early to tell, we usually don’t do well with kids from Gibbons though.

Kamari Wilson - 2022 S from Ft. Pierce Westwood/IMG, the #1 ranked Safety for the 22 class thus far, elite prospect, likes Miami a lot, but will be heavily pursued by UF, LSU, Bama, Clemson etc, Miami has a good shot as of now because of his relationship with Banda, but if Banda leaves, he not coming.

Michigan came down and stole quite a bit of guys about the same amount we got actually even though they have a lame duck coach. Crazy!!

I’m curious that none of the receivers we recruited from Fla made 1st or 2nd team, none of linebackers did either, nor did Kam Kinchens. Also surprised that Thad was 2nd team behind Daniels
For the people who really know Florida high school football, what are the critiques of the rankings especially as it relates to the UM kids who did not make 1st or 2nd team?
