Besides next year’s home schedule being ***, I’m really excited about our future.

I know its not going to happen but our schedule every year should be as follows not in order:

1 Easy game
Our 6 ACC Coastal games
FSU
UF
Notre dame
One other ACC Atlantic team
One powerhouse Bama/UGA/Oklahoma/Texas etc.

Schedules like this reveal if your ready for big boy football. Recruits also want to play in big games like these.

I’d be cool if ND joined the coastal and that could become an annual game. Don’t think UF would ever play us annually since they’re already forced to play FSU.

Actually I think Mullen wants a competitive schedule and I think he'd be willing to play every year. I doubt their AD would even consider it tho
 
That 2021 game vs bama could be interesting. Manny in his third year with a junior jarren against a junior taulia tagovailoa. If a good chunk of our 2018 class stays for their senior year we could be competitive. Our line could consist of a senior scaife, campbell and gaynor with a junior zion and probably clark or other addition. Maybe one of harris or lingard with chaney. Maybe one of mallory or jordan is still here. I doubt jordan is still here cause hes a first or second rounder. Defense could be special if gurvan is still here with blades and ivey with sam brooks and huff at backer and gilbert. Our 2019 defensive tackles develop accordingly and our defensive ends continue to be freak shows as usual. Baxa will be a senior. Am i missing anything? The team could potentially be very veteran on both sides. Could be the perfect storm type of year

Was looking at that game thinking.. that could be a game between two playoff teams if we continue doing things well.

Bruh...

Schedules like that reveal that you're always at best 10-2, even in years where you feel near championship worthy.

Look at a schedule like Alabama or Clemson...one big early season out of conference matchup...one upper group of five or low end power five school...lower end group of five...lower end group of five OR FCS. Thats all you need. You pick up quality win(s) in the championship game provided you even need it to get into the playoffs.

The reality is, the landscape of college football dictates that all we need to do is win the ACC to get into the playoff in any year. You could even skate into the playoffs with a great break not winning the conference...similar to what our Turnover Chain season could have been with a win over Pitt.

Why the want to be so extra?

Plus, I kind of like giving UM/gator a chance stew for a few years before we see each other again. Makes the matchup extra cvnty.

I predict this website goes into full meltdown mode by the end of September 2021. Just molten. Some stern warnings gonna be going out. Some perma ban wagers...gonna get ugly.

UF has gotten a rep as a dodger of tough games. Mullen has forced them to schedule another tough OOC game other than FSU. I think they have a two-game series with Texas coming up in a few seasons.

Tough schedule in 2021, 2024, and 2025. Those are the kinds of seasons where we could make the playoffs without winning the ACC if we go undefeated otherwise (or lose one game against a very good to great team).
