Chases yards per catch and TDs per reception are insane, we dont have anyone like him unfortunately

Assuming health and full season:

Harley - 62
Brevin - 59
Wiggins - 51
Pope - 47
Payton - 37

**I think Harley has the lowest ceiling of all them, the scheme fit is just Taylor made for him**

Dang! Our leading WR would’ve been 5th on LSU? Jeez.

Well, hopefully we can see what an open field would look like un Lashlee.

Passing for 6000 yards plus which is what LSU did last year is not normal whatsoever so no need to expect that.

However lashlee did lead a top 10 passing offense last year and if king played all 13 games in 2018 he would have had over 3500 passing yards so he can throw it too. Additionally rob likens was at cal when Goff was there and they had a bunch of different receivers getting a lot of targets so they all know how to manage this.

That offense broke records, our numbers definitely doesn't need to look like this to be successful. If we need this type of offense then Blake Baker should be fired immediately

Yeah LSU had to score a lot last season due to how trash the defense played in most games

You’re talking about a once in a generation offensive season with LSU last year so any comparison to them is just unrealistic. That said, the single season receptions record will be in jeopardy. I could see multiple guys with 60+ catches.

Huh? Their defense was basically Top 30 or better in basically every important defensive metric. They didn't give up more than 28 points in any of their last 5 games. Yeah, Bama put up points, but that's Bama. Texas went pinball in the 2nd half, but I think they held them to 7 in the first half.

That was about it. Defense definitely wasn't trash in most games. Not even close. No defense coached by Dave Aranda with Fulton, Queen, Delpit, Chaisson, Phillips, Lawrence, Stingley etc etc definitely isn't gonna be trash in most games.

Using the old metrics (ppg, ypg, etc) they weren’t statistically great. But if you factor in number of possessions they were solid.

LSU defense is far from trash. Ask Oklahoma and Clemson how garbage LSU defense was.

When you run an uptempo offense your defense will give up more yards and points due to opposing offense being more aggressive. In words of Shannon Sharpe, half of those stats are empty calories.

There's nothing wrong giving up 22 pts per game, when yoxu scoring nearly 50 pts game.

When we are flying on all cylinders, this is what I would expect.

I probably shouldn’t have said most games they were terrible but in a number of them they were. Wasn’t your typical “championship” defense at all.

Our offense would be explosive and amongst the best offenses if our leading WR’s are Pope, Wiggins and Payton. If it is as you suggest, not so much.

OK, that’s fine. They definitely weren’t terrible, though. At all. But yes, best in the country? No. But you don’t need to be when you have possibly the best offense in the history of the sport.

You notice they play their top guys and not substitute the entire roster like we do? That's half the **** problem, our guys earn half *** reps, their guys gotta earn the full PT, like we did in the old days. I don't remember Andre, Beard or Daryl Jones getting reps or splitting time with Santana, Reggie, and Andre King, they played the whole friggen game. 2001 when they got their PT

You clearly did not read the last line. Those you named are more talented than Harley but he is a senior, will gain Likens’s respect, and is an ideal fit and will benefit from attention being paid to others.
