2019 secondary

Lets talk football do you guys feel comfortable in are secondary this year. I feel this unit might be unproven but overall is an improvement from an athleticism standpoint from last year. Question is how fast these guys get the mental side down. My starting unit is:

Cb1- D. Ivey
Fs- G. Hall
Ss- A. Carter
Nc- T. Bandy
Cb2- A. Blades

I think Bandy is Cb1 an Ivey CB2 and Blades at nickel either way i love the talent out of this group an Hall and Carter are gonna have a highlight reel of big hits just hope they can hold down the deep end! Bandy is a good leader Blades seems vocal who would have thought i think were good! Frieson was my favorite from the spring game film last year watch out for him too!

Blades and Ivey both have good lenght to them, they're both 6'1 or taller. It's about to be clamps in the secondary with Bandy leading the way.
 
I believe they will be really good.. we need more bodies in case of injuries.. I think we only have Couch this cycle and he needs to put some serious weight

I wonder how Nigel Bethel has developed.. Anybody has any input?

I know others said this but bandy is cb1. now when got nickel I think he goes inside to nickle spot like chris harris with Denver broncos will play outside in base and inside on slot in nickle and cb 3 will play outside when in nickel that said cb 1 is bandy. also don't sleep on freirson as one of those top 3 cbs

Definitely agree the overall athleticism is the highest it’s been since Richt took over. Hopefully with a staff that isn’t lazy and works the **** out of theses guys in practice demanding perfection it could be the best secondary we’ve had in awhile. Speed and size all over the secondary with that unit.

I don't think we will know till spring and see how depth chart plays out. as for only couch at cb I don't remember all 14 recruits signed just know majority of them on d

I think he is our only CB signed so far in 2019

I think that's the case I was trying to remember off top of head I know we have 3 dt's I think 2 de's with Williams , 2 lbs, 1 safety, 1cb which is 9 of the 14 on d 1 punter , 1 wr, 2 oline guys I think and 1 te but nto sure

we have carter/hall/smith kids and Knowles at end of year was making plays. lets stop acting like he wasn't. kids do improve and some don't break out till jr year some sr year. its how u get a 1 year wonder like quinnen Williams with bama people a few years back wanted to run mike Jackson out of town now he was our best cb last year and could be at worst a 2nd round pick. also freirson can play safety

Yea my mistake bandy is boundary corner till we go to nickel then he slide inside
 
Rumph has proven to be a darn good cb coach. I dont expect much of a drop off there. Safety I am not quite so confident as JJ will be missed. Hopefully we get a 2017 type performance from the secondary.

With good coaching that should be a Savage secondary
