2019 Miami class

Its called going 7-5

Ya but it definitely seems like kids jump off UM in a bad year worse than others. The gators got 2 4 win seasons out of the last 6...fsu has what? 9 wins in last 2 (i understand they are making changes and taggert getting a 2nd year bump).

Kids, and sadly enough mostly sofla kids...are looking for reasons to not go to UM.

Look At USCw they had a tough day by their standards. We just suck even worse

The problem is "filling in the class" becomes exceedingly difficult with half the kids already signed at other schools. We signed 12 today, half of which are blue chips (and have two unsigned commits, one of whom was supposed to sign today but decided to hold off last minute). We have a handful of targets out there (many of whom we will miss on in February just like we missed on kids today). This staff is going to need to either move mountains and/or take questionable kids to sign 20. And the only way they hit 25 is by taking a handful of Bobby "Tranquilo" Knowles types.

For context, (per 247) Clemson signed a full class of 26 today (12 blue chips)! Baga signed 20 today, and 19 are blue chips (so far... Neal will almost certainly be bumping those numbers up). The Gaytors got 20 today (12 blue chips). UGA has 15 signed (14 blue chips). Even O$U, with Meyer out the door, has 14 signed (10 blue chips). VT, as bad a season as they had, signed 19 today (though only 5 are blue chip prospects).

My point is, filling out the class after the early signing period is harder, not easier. There are simply fewer quality kids available. Expecting to sign another 12-14 UM-caliber kids is not a reasonable expectation at this point.

To add to your context, last year the first year for early signing, 65% of all FBS signings occurred in the early signing period. The expectation is that more will sign this year during the ESP. At best, that leaves only 35% of available talent to recruit and sign by NSD. The blue chips make up a smaller percentage of that 35%. We are going to be fighting a steep uphill battle to address our needs.

We get what we deserve Golden was finally starting to recruit well after the sanctions and the fans couldn't get rid of him fast enough. Then we diss Butch. So whatever
Goldens recruiting was garbage, Butch dissed Miami no need to rehash the past. This roster right now as constructed is our most talent laden since about 03. We have depth at every position, not only depth but quality depth. Look at our runnings backs, Our recievers, Tight ends on offense on Defense our dl is taking shape and we stacked in the def backfield. Very little trash on the roster, Under the previous 3 coachs about 25 percent of the roster wa.s unuseable. People will ***** to *****.

By adding 2 stars? This class will be lucky to finish 27-30
Ranking a recruit class after signing day is like ranking the NFL draft the day after, get back in 2 years. 3 years ago Sam Bruce was the next Jerry Rice.2 years ago D.J. Johnson was the next Reggie White.
