Ranked 34th right behind programs like Purdue and Minnesota and Baylor (elite company there), with 12 signees we did better the Schapiro So Golden years. There has to be some things going on behind the scenes.

Your talking like its over. Its not looking good but we will get more people from now till February
 
LOL...we are MINN and Purdue and IU...a mid-level program in a major conference. (our record over the past decade plus tells us that)

Miami football is UNLV basketball (once proud but now just a name on a 30 for 30)...wondering why we're not good anymore and wondering why all 5* kids sign w/ Duke.

Well at least the admins can be happy that we are finally at the same table as Northwestern and Vanderbilt in something.

Keep in mind we have been under the scholly limit for a while now. And we only have 14 committed at the moment.

Based on star ratings, which half of you love, we are actually top 20. Calm down.

Agree 100 percent, Ohio state which has the same amount of recruits as us, but some 5 stars is number 19. Once we start filling in the class we will be between 12-15

The problem is "filling in the class" becomes exceedingly difficult with half the kids already signed at other schools. We signed 12 today, half of which are blue chips (and have two unsigned commits, one of whom was supposed to sign today but decided to hold off last minute). We have a handful of targets out there (many of whom we will miss on in February just like we missed on kids today). This staff is going to need to either move mountains and/or take questionable kids to sign 20. And the only way they hit 25 is by taking a handful of Bobby "Tranquilo" Knowles types.

For context, (per 247) Clemson signed a full class of 26 today (12 blue chips)! Baga signed 20 today, and 19 are blue chips (so far... Neal will almost certainly be bumping those numbers up). The Gaytors got 20 today (12 blue chips). UGA has 15 signed (14 blue chips). Even O$U, with Meyer out the door, has 14 signed (10 blue chips). VT, as bad a season as they had, signed 19 today (though only 5 are blue chip prospects).

My point is, filling out the class after the early signing period is harder, not easier. There are simply fewer quality kids available. Expecting to sign another 12-14 UM-caliber kids is not a reasonable expectation at this point.
 
This is not directed to you, No_FLY_ZONE, just a general rant/plea. And your final point is universally agreed upon.

We don't need to sign 25 just because that is a magic number. We sign what we can and then work from there. If we pick up JUCOs or grad transfers after the fact, count'em or don't count'em. The staff is well aware of our sentiments regarding what we feel progress should or should not look like. The results WILL speak for themselves. There is no real reason to continue bashing everything that happens minute to minute. The defensive coaches got rewarded for a job well done this season. The offensive coaches did not. If the Canes continue on this same path, you will see the changes wanted by the fanbase. No need to blow up the "she-shed" just to have Jake from State Farm hand us "better" coaches. Let the results play themselves out. Let recruiting over the next month and a half play itself out. Also, keep in mind that other schools may be waiting on players as well. Those players may end up as Canes too. Let it all play out.

Who else is out there? The remainders like TS, Bogle,Dent, etc. aren’t picking us. We couldn’t get the guys that committed eslewhere today. I wanna know how the heck we get anybody else.
 
We get what we deserve Golden was finally starting to recruit well after the sanctions and the fans couldn't get rid of him fast enough. Then we diss Butch. So whatever
 
Give me kids that WANT TO BE CANES. Not kids that bounce around and flirt with other programs.

If kids don't want to be here **** them. I ride and die with my canes so **** anybody who ain't riding with this U.
