2019 Linebacker Mikel Jones (Mater Academy) put on a show at the StrongArm 7v7 tryouts on Saturday. He talks to CanesInSight.com about his recruitment
"My recruitment is going good, I have a lot of school after me right now."
Jones has offers from Clemson, Ohio St, West Virginia and other. While he doesn't have an offer from the hometown Hurricanes, he says an offer is well on the way
"Manny Diaz told me to head down to campus the week after signing day to watch film with him." said Jones "Miami was my favorite school growing up, so getting an offer from them would mean the world to me."
Jones says that the schools recruiting the hardest right now are Clemson, West Virginia and Ohio St. but if the Hurricanes come calling, they would easily be the #1 school in front of Clemson
"If Miami offered they would be #1 ." Jones said "Clemson and Ohio St. are recruiting me hard, but it's the hometown team that i love."
Jones said that he will be at the Junior Day to dominate like last year.
