Part of Miami’s renewed recruiting focus under Mark Richt has been to expand their footprint into Georgia, Richt’s old stomping grounds as the head coach of UGA. The Canes signed 3 prospects in the 2018 class from the Peach State and, today, they attempted to dip back into the territory by offering 2019 DE Justin Eboigbe from Forest Park.

“Coach Kool reached out today and told me (I had an offer),” Eboigbe said. “I was excited due to knowing who just offered me.”

Now that he has the offer from the Hurricanes, can UM jump into a mix that includes UGA, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and others that are chasing Eboigbe hard? The talented lineman says yes.

“Miami is now in the mix of schools that I'm interested in,” said Eboigbe who pinned his tweet detailing his Miami offer to the top of his Twitter page with pride. “I gotta see if I can go visit soon.”

Speaking of visits, Eboigbe will be making a college tour of the top programs just one state over the following two weekends.

“I’m going to Auburn tomorrow and Alabama next weekend,” says Eboigbe. The Tigers have already offered here, but he’s waiting on the Crimson Tide.

Eboigbe had a great individual year on the defensive line for Forest Park, but is more concerned with team success going into his senior season.

“I feel I did okay,” Eboigbe said. “We only won 2 games. If we won more, I probably would have felt the season went better.”

In the end, the school that will win the 6’5” 261 pound lineman over will be where he feels comfortable with the staff, players, and overall environment.

“Just somewhere to feel like home.”

Looking at this kid's measurements, he definitely fits Coach Kul's profile for DL targets!! Miami will make GA it's second home when it comes to recruits...

We're going to win one of these big time DL battles soon. Once we win our conference and get onto the playoffs, we'll get those DT and local kids.

This kid has the goods ... beating out the SEC will be a real challenge ... but we must keep chipping away.

Forrest Park is a horrible program and the talent has been down in Clayton County since 07... You can see how bad the competition is in most of the video. I hope he camps at UM before any commitments

Forest park is bad but Clayton county has some talented programs, they used to play schools like creekside, tri cities as well
