Turnover **** ring
Sounds like a polite way to say they're going to phase the actually piece of jewelry out, which is a smart decision.
You didnt comprehend that good at all.
How? "a different version" could mean anything. They'll probably put some graphic on the video boards or something.
It's dumb to bring back the gimmick the way we finished the last two games. Only way they could have brought back the actual jewelry would have been with a natty.
This isn't going well for you
I would prefer they keep it the same. As I've said before imagine if Reed, Taylor, Lewis, etc had worn this chain. It'd have so much meaning behind it and would be an honor to wear. That would how it's seen be 20 years from now.
I'm almost 60 years old and I love that chain!! I say keep it and make a second different one for TD on offense!!!

I'd bet anything that the chain is gone next year in it's current physical form.
Lock of the century.

I don’t usually get personal here, but you are an idiot. Nole or gator? Got to be one.
Maybe he is taking a job some place else and plans on ripping it off. If he gets rid of it, we need to fly the plane first game to get his stupid **** fired. How? "a different version" could mean anything. They'll probably put some graphic on the video boards or something.

How? Because I think they're gonna get rid of the chain?
Jesus christ, read between the lines. He wouldn't say "but may come back in a different version" if they weren't getting rid of it.

Or maybe he realizes that gimmicks like this don't work year to year and really need to be put away after you get demolished in your conference championship game.

I am good with it as long as it doesn't become a joke. We have to win many games for it to stay relevant, as in 10 a year. As one poster said, maybe in 20 years we will look back and say some of the best ever to suit up for the Canes wore that famous chain.
Beat the Fvck out of Whisky!!!!!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all on this board. I appreciate all your insight and even the soft **** makes me laugh at times.
Good point and probably the #1 reason the Turnover Chain isn't going anywhere. It's a significant revenue generator for the school when you think of all the chains, shirts, etc. that can be sold.I could see them redesigning it and then trademarking the new design, I think most of the athletics dept spent all fall watching Dyme Lyfe make bank on something they felt they should've been able to.
