2018 schedule

10-2 or 11-1. If we correct the problems we had this year. OL, benching Rosier/Feagles, getting stronger. This ain't the Les Miles tigers but they still have a talented team.

LSU is the perfect game for perry to come in. IT will be super hyped but LSU will be worse then the media makes them seem. Then when we beat them perry will have confidence under the lights and we will get this **** starting. The only worry I have is at blacksburgh and that has nothing to do with the team just the environment! GO CANES!!!
lI don't think it's the "perfect" team to play. We will start a red shirt freshman, in his FIRST game. They will come to play. Perfect is a warmup. They are already loaded depth and talent wise. A bad LSU team, beat Auburn this year. We better win, but it won't be easy. It's only great if we win and walk away healthy. I like our staff to be more prepared. I also think their offense will continue to struggle. They didn't seem to develop the qb position this year like needed. That isn't good first week against a Diaz defense. He'll have them dazed and confused.

I don’t see next year being any “tougher” than this year. All the players are still the same with LSU subbing in for the ACC interloper. Switch the home and always, yes, but add in the third year or Richt and company and a top 5 recruiting class.

12-0 regular season. Coastal. ACC retribution. CFP. #6

Coulda sworn the last time we played BC it was at their place?

It was. Denzel with the pick 6. Duke with the KO return. Don’t know why we are going back there. It should have been awake since they were the second longest time since last meeting and it’s on the road.

If Woodside is gone, Toledo shouldn't be a terrible problem. That guy was a **** of a quarterback, and it would have been tough facing him on the road. You could argue that he was the best pure thrower we faced all year.

Rest of the schedule? Pretty much like any other schedule we've had since joining the ACC, IMO. It's a bunch of potential L's if you don't come to play every week.

Beyond developing a quarterback and improving the offensive line, I think the next step this team need really needs to take, is to match the emotional energy of the teams we play, week in and week out. I feel that we were the more fired up team only twice in 2017.....the obvious VT and ND games. Other than those two, every team came out with a lot more energy. We shouldn't need to stage second half comebacks against GT, Syracuse, UNC, UVA and Pitt. That's not a sustainable situation, and if we don't do better matching the other team's energy right out of the gate, we are going to take a couple L's in games we "should win."

ACC schedule is not set yet. We are due for Atlantic teams we have not seen in awhile. Bottom line for me is as much as I believe Perry will be qb and we will likely struggle again next year if the offense is as limited as it was this year. We did struggle this year BTW. We were very fortunate to get to the ACCG and I'm grateful but honest. CMR needs help with his offense and without that help Perry will struggle too. Don't get all invested just because of a qb change. I do not expect any trip to ACCCG because coach is a very stubborn man

Next years chedule looks a little tougher but nothing out of this world. Sure we start with

LSU at Arlington- dont know who they have coming back
Savanah St - W
@Toledo - why the **** are we playing this game?
FIU - hopefully we dont have a bench clearing brawl and and get an easy W
The crossover game is @ Boston College- always a tough team but we should handle them, hopefully they schedule the game when its not too cold
FSU at Home
Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech away

A little tougher than this year I guess but not by much

what say you?

LSU? we are either starting a redshirt freshman in Perry or a mediocre QB in Rosier....you guys figure it out.
Savanah St, Toledo and FIU.... whoever did this schedule should be fired immediately...although this has Al Golden written all over it. Beat up on cupcakes then play a real team and **** in our pants.
BC away? By this time Perry is either in his groove or we are headed for dissaster.
FSU at home, VT and GT? (see BC)

wtf is Savanah State??? never heard of them??? a rung below FIU?

@Toledo...wtf

Miami DOESN'T have the cash flow to pay teams akin to Toledo for a one time appearance in SLS. dUh. In other words, teams like Nebraska and Ohio St. and Michigan and Alabama and Georgia have the cash flow to pay up to " ONE MILLION " dollars, or slightly more, to Sun Belt or MAC or WAC or even Mountain West teams for a ONE time game. And that's why Miami has been scheduling a ' home and away ' series with NON Power 5 programs. hUh.

Miami played Savannah St. previously under the Golden Boy regime.

Wrong! Miami will lose a game which Cane fandom wouldn't expect Miami to lose too. hUh. Enter lowly Pittsburgh this season.:sanford:

V Tech and LSU...Might be heading for another 10-2 season but that would be about right while our recruiting gets past the break - even point..

Any team with a pulse could be a loss

The pussies on this site are out in full force.

Yep. That schedule is setting up for an undefeated season with the only possible loss IMO being the first game against LSU. We ain't losing to any team in ACC with next year's roster IMO. The game at Toledo isn't a bad game as they are always good to decent . We were going to Arkansas St this season and went to App st 2 years ago as well.
