2018 Schedule Released

I've got that game at UVA circled on my calendar as a possible pitfall. We are usually beat to **** after the FSU game and it's at their place. It's nice to have the bye week before, but BC can absolutely pound the rock and is a terrible match up for us if we don't have good interior line play. The last 3 games are tough too. We should be favored in a majority of them, but doesn't mean they won't be tricky

I'll be at the game great drive into Charlottesville where I expect a win. Period .. I hope you use 2018 to stop being so chicken s hit

Why the **** do we literally ALWAYS play Pitt the last game of the season. I know we're at home this year, but I'm tired of always having to go up there when its ******* coldest.

You're such a troll. You don't even try to hide it.

Aren’t you a mod? Put this pos out of his misery.

He's pushing it
DMoney Peter Ariz Andrew are posters not allowed to voice their opinion here if it's unpopular? Can we be clear on this please so that everyone understands the rules moving forward?

Hence, why I said pushing it, and no one has smacked you yet. You're borderline trolling in every thread when you claim to "state your opinion."

Don’t fight the inevitable. An agenda and an opinion are two different things. Not even Broke is getting negged like this clown.

Because the ACC hates us.

We should move conferences. I'm dead serious. I think we should join the SEC personally.

Define trolling, because I'm pretty sure I explained in this thread why my post was completely rational and understandable.

-make a deliberately offensive or provocative online post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them

Good. And there is nothing 'provocative' about predicting a loss in a Friday night road game in the acc. Especially considering our recent history.

Stop it. First, we tried to join the SEC in the 50s, and Florida blocked us. Second, we don't fit in with the SEC, which, aside from Vandy is all large public schools, and aside from UF, is all bad schools (UGA is ok, I guess).

Because you benignly predicted a loss. And, you're innocent in every thread.

Well, we're in the Southeast. So being in the Southeastern Conference makes some amount of sense.

And we don't fit in the the ACC - which is a basketball conference.... not to mention that it's the All Carolina Conference. The tobacco road mafia is real ****. We will always get screwed over by the ACC - whether it's scheduling, or whether it's not getting a single holding call, or whatever. They despise us.

Florida couldn't block us. If we really wanted to get in to the SEC we could.

Because almost every other team has a "rival" on the last week. UVA-VT, Clemson-USC, FSU-UF, GT-UGA, UNC/Duke or NC State, etc. The ACC created an artificial rivalry with Pitt since our natural rival is FSU, and we don't end the season with them, and our other rival, VT, ends the season with UVA.

We're also on the Atlantic Coast, which is the ACC, so.....

We don't fit in the SEC. Culturally we fit in with the ACC, and I spelled out why. Also, those schools can block. UVA initially blocked VT from the ACC. VT and UVA blocked WVU from the ACC (more VT and Beamer). UK has blocked Louisville from the SEC. USC has said they'd block Clemson from the SEC. As for basketball, with the success of our basketball program under Coach L, we're better in the ACC.

Adding Miami would be like printing money for the SEC. They would make so much money they wouldn't know what to do with it. I know it's technically true that Florida could "block" us, but money talks. The other schools aren't going to give up cash just to keep UF happy, they'll turn the screws on them until they allow it.

Just like Clemson or FSU wouldn't be blocked from joining either. It's all posturing. In the end, money talks.

Cultural fit is overrated. How does the fact that Tennessee is a large public school affect Miami? It doesn't.

Anyway - Miami is a fine academic institution, but let's not get too big-headed about it. Outside of South Florida, employers aren't going to look at a degree from Miami any differently than they would a degree from Auburn or South Carolina. If anything, Miami still has the "Suntan U" reputation nationally. And we're certainly not Vanderbilt.

Look, here's what I know - I would rather play in a football first conference, because we're a football first school. And I would rather have Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia on the schedule than Virginia, North Carolina, and Duke.

Gino Torretta thinks we should join the SEC. I'm rolling with Gino.

Of course we will. Boy I'm sure looking forward to hosting UVA and Pitt at Hard Rock next year! Can't wait!

very silly post mentioning cold weather in Pitt. Football is usually an outdoor sport meant to be played in all kinds of weather. Cold weather never bothered our team when we winning championships.

Perfect schedule for perrys development! LSU is a perfect gimmick primetime gameday game because they will be ranked WAY higher then they are. Awful coach and awful quarterback. We should be able to win by quite a bit and it will make perry confident then we have some easy cupcake games that will help perry so hes rested when acc games play. Then he can play a **** unc beat em have a ton of rest and confidence for fsu week. When we smack em we will be ready to finish the rest of the season!!! GO CANES!!!!!

Awesome schedule. I've been picking off road trips one by one and this season the target was Boston College. Obviously we don't play there frequently. I love the late October slot, which should be perfect weather. The bye week prior allows me plenty of time to get up there and sightsee. Plus relatives to visit in Connecticut. I can attend another college game in the region the prior Saturday. And since our game is on Friday night I can stick around for another college game somewhere nearby the next day, before returning to Miami for the Duke game a week later.

It's like they allowed me to draw it up myself. I already booked a time share exchange from the 19th through 26th not far away.
