2018 Schedule Released

At BC on Friday is almost certainly a loss. Terrible schedule

You're such a troll. You don't even try to hide it.

U do realize we got embarrassed at Pitt this season right? On that basis, my post is completely rational.

I seem to recall, but to post it's almost a certain loss is dumb as ****.

Dumb to you, but astute to those that have a memory.

If we don't have a QB, fine. If we do, then no.

I really hate playing Geogia Tech.
Our defense hates playing GT

But they really don't struggle against GT. They probably hate the chop blocks, though.

That’s it.

Nobody likes playing them because of the chop blocks.

How would you like it. You need eyes in the back of your head. Every play... is someone going to roll up on the back of my knees and blow one of them out.

I think you're confused.

A chop block is illegal.... and it's any block below the waist on a defensive player when he's already engaged - in other words you can't dive at the knees of someone who is already being blocked. Doesn't matter if it's the front of the knees or the back.

What you're describing is an illegal peel back block, which is you can't dive at someone's knees from behind. Both of these are 15 yard penalties.

What GA Tech teaches is CUT BLOCKING, which is legal. In fact, I've seen our guys cut block, especially our running backs on passing downs.

You can dive at a guy's knees if he's not engaged in another block and if it's from the front or side.

Now you can complain all day long about the ACC not calling chop blocks and peel back blocks on GA Tech as they should, and you probably have a point. But if the refs are doing their job, then GA Tech doesn't do anything that's a big deal.

Yes it’s semantics. Technically it’s called a cut block and GT uses it all the fūcking time.

You know exactly what we’re talking about.

I was referring to the triple option which they employ regularly. Run it with some success can open up the pass when over-committed backs don't adjust in time.

Time for...

This schedule does set up pretty nice though. 7 games then the bye week to heal up before the tough stretch against GT/VT.

Savannah state is a freaking bye week. Is their a worse team out there?

Perfect breather after a tough opener. Good chance to get the backups in. Hopefully Rosier can get some mop up duty and work on his deep ball. ;o)

A legal cut block is always to the front or sides. And it's always either someone lined up behind the line of scrimmage, or 7 yards away from the center.

Rolling up on the back of someone's knees is a 15 yard penalty. I'm not saying GA tech doesn't do it, and I'm not saying they don't get away with ****, but it's a penalty.

I've got that game at UVA circled on my calendar as a possible pitfall. We are usually beat to **** after the FSU game and it's at their place. It's nice to have the bye week before, but BC can absolutely pound the rock and is a terrible match up for us if we don't have good interior line play. The last 3 games are tough too. We should be favored in a majority of them, but doesn't mean they won't be tricky

Look at our defensive stats against GT. We do fine.

Hence, why I said pushing it, and no one has smacked you yet. You're borderline trolling in every thread when you claim to "state your opinion."

I'm sick and tired of unjustly getting infractions from mods that have a vendetta against me just because they don't like my takes. Totally unfair!

Define trolling, because I'm pretty sure I explained in this thread why my post was completely rational and understandable.
