2018 Schedule Released

I see 11-2. I expect us to make the ACC Championship game again, where, unfortunately, we probably drop another one to Clemson since they are absolutely loaded next year. 12-2 with a bowl win.

I'm leaning this way as well. If it weren't for Clemson's D-line coming back, I'd say we have a chance. But two back-to-back trips to Charlotte would be nice. Depends on how our D-line moves on from Norton/McIntosh as well as how much QB play improves.

Ya, I’m cautiously optimistic about our qb play and our d-line situation. But if one of those turns out to be a glaring weakness, we could drop a game or two that we shouldn’t.

That UNC game screams trap game. Going to Blacksburg a week after GT is also a concern as well.

Who else do think we will lose to? Clemson with one of the L's, but if you think 12-2 then who else do we lose to? I say 13-1, losing to clemson and winning in the bowl game

One of the two losses is to Clemson, who else you have us losing to? LSU?

Agreed, that’s why I think we drop at least one of those games, as much as I hate to say that.

Selfishly, this sucks! Ill be out of town for 2 games already and its already a short schedule at home. SMH

I'm not sure. I think we beat both LSU and FSU, but I see us probably dropping a game we shouldn't — UNC, GT, or VT.

I don't. I think we go undefeated in the regular season or maybe lose a dumb one and lose to clemson. 13-1 or maybe 12-2

13-1 is a strong possibility if our qb play improves, our d-line does not regress without RJ/Norton, and if we avoid the injury bug. But it's so hard in this day and age to go undefeated in college football. It's easy to look at a schedule and assume we are going to roll weaker competition, but it's hard to do that every week. See last years game vs. Pitt, for example

Opening with LSU in Dallas will be by far the hardest game on that schedule.

That will be tough. They still have more talent than we do on the roster, and it's basically gonna be a home game for them.

Canes don't play well in big games on the road.

But the rest of the schedule looks pretty easy to me. It could well be like in 2000 when we lost the first game against Washington while breaking in a new QB, only to sweep the rest of the schedule. I could see that kind of year happening.

That would put us in the ACC championship game against Clemson again.

Reported that the ACC has more power 5 schools on their schedule then any other conference.....but we already knew that. Maybe we should take the Bama approach...poach three weak ACC opponents and back load our schedule w/ FCS and non power 5 schools. smh. God I hate the SEC bias.

a bye week midway during the season whens the last time that has happened? BC on a Friday will be tough.

There are only 3 games we could potentially lose on paper, but then again, there was PITT last year...

Assuming the QB competition yields a baller, we shouldn't lose more than 2 and truthfully, we really should be favored in all of those preseason with the exception of LSU, who we should also beat. Very doable schedule.

Miami should never lose to Virginia Tech again. We have way more talent than they do. This should be a gimme game every year going forward.

The bar for Miami is no longer Virginia Tech, it's Clemson.

Could and should are different, though. Miami shouldn’t have lost to Pitt last year, but we did. Also, VT is not some scrub team. Should we beat them? Yes, but they’ve always given us problems, even in 2001 and 2002.
