Eriq Gilyard, Trinity Christian Academy, Inside Linebacker

6'0 225lbs (247 has him listed at 5'11, but other sites have him at 6'0), 3-star LB out of State Champions Trinity Christian in Jacksonville (same school as Kendrick Norton, Derrick Smith, 5-star S Tyreke Johnson & from the 15' class Kevin Toliver II).

This kid is one of the most productive LB's in the state, he has 178 total tackles, 35.5TFL's, 11.5sacks, 1INT & 1FR for a TD in his career thus far.

He plays both ILB & OLB, but projects best as a WLB in our scheme. He's got good speed & is an instinctive tackling machine.

Idk why he doesn't have an offer yet, but imo is one of the most underrated LB's in this class & would be a huge get to keep that Trinity JAX pipeline open.

If we're only taking 2 LB's this class, I want Gilyard & Joyner.

If we're only taking 2 LB's this class, I want him Gilyard & Rosendo Louis as the top two, while keeping tabs on David Reese & Donovan Georges (I think we can flip Georges from UGA if we really want to).

Did Louis's dad play for UF?

This school has thing for producing BIG hitters.. I can't imagine how the tackling drills are over there lol

My first thought when I saw the thread title was how long would it take for The Franchise to turn Gilyard to Gaylord, especially if he plays games???

The kid is a machine. Do want... you can't teach what he has in terms of diagnosing plays.
