2018 CB Asante Samuel Jr - St. Thomas Aquinas, spring game

Met him a few a times. We went to do 1v1s, DB and footwork drills with Asante during his last summer at UCF. I think he owned one of the clubs on the beach (Play?). I used to swear that nobody could out run their defense back in the day, then I saw termaine hall (Deerfield Beach, NC State) turn on the jets lol. Their program is always full of athletes, just WOAT coaches. Not that long ago that you could say the same thing about plantation. BA, Dillard (they were actually good), Plantation all used to have prospects...now American Heritage is a power house. Can't be too mad, though. They're just doing what Chaminade once did, only better.

tremain hall was pretty fast...i was a freshman when he was at deerfield and a big name in the county....

**** broward use to be LOADED....now their hoarding all the talent to like 2-3 schools in the county..thats why i love that my neighborhood Miramar team was handling browards top dog team with mostly miramar kids for 3 years (Some carol city kids i know)...

There's no reason Dillard shouldnt be hitting on all cylinders...**** Dt lauderdale Hurricanes might be the best optomist program in South florida talent wise..and they should be a funnel to B.A, DILLARD...Plantation...but looks like the sta's, ah, university all poached.

Yup. I remember Dillard being in the 6A (Biggest class back then) state championship in 2000 against Palm Bay. They used to give STA problems, too.

Miami is the heavy favorite right now. Word is Asante Sr. wants his son at Miami.


Obviously things could change but this is a kid to keep an eye on. He's drawing in offers around the whole country from top programs and hasn't even laced up for his sophomore year of highschool yet.

He needs to transfer and come out as a junior because he ready. 3 more years of dominating hs Wr's is gonna get old for him. It'd be a damned shame for Dorito and Golden to get their hands on this boy and turn him into a puzzie too.
