2018 Breakout Players

DeeJay Dallas - He will form a great 1-2 lunch with Travis Homer. The games that he was involved in more our offense was much better. Love him in the wildcat as well.

Jeff Thomas - I can’t wait to see him and a healthy AR82 on the field together. He will take the top off defenses. He averaged over 20 ypc last year and will help put points on the board.

Jonathan Garvin - he looks like he’s put on some good size and strength this off-season. He will get lots of reps with JJ and DJax and will make a lot of big plays (sacks, ff’s)

Derrick Smith - I think Smith playing at the Striker position is going to Ben huge for our D when we’re playing spread offenses as he can play the run/pass better than what I saw from McCloud last year.

Trajan Bandy - he is a dog on the field. I think he’ll take it to a new level in his 2nd season and will make some game-changing plays for our D this year. His instincts are what desperate him.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Greg Rosseau, Brian Hightower, Brevin Jordan, Lorenzo Lingard, Gilbert Frierson, DJ Ivey, and Gurvan Hall bust onto the scene too and breakout!

I think Sheldrick Redwine will have a great year as well. If he plays this season like he played against Pitt, he will be All ACC.

I think/hope Donaldson will have a breakout season. And i also think Scaife will make an impact. Those two are too talented too not be dominating most of our competition this year.

I think Homer and Garvin are the likely guys if you had to bet money. Willis could be really good to. I kinda want to say Cager but even if Cager got x10 better QB play could limit his effectiveness/production.

And if we get poor QB play again, how are any of those TEs and WRs going to have a breakout year? We need a QB to improve over last season, regardless who it is. Better QB play and I think the entire O breaks out.

Agree with you, but I need you to relax on mentioning the QB too much on this one.

We don't need every thread to devolve into war over the QB. Anytime anything is ever said about a QB these threads turn into 12 page long psychosis about the same things over & over.

It ruins fun threads where we can just shoot the sh*t & be fans.
