I guess we're going to make up the RPI in the ACC:monkey-serious:

The Hawaii tournament includes USC, Hawaii, Middle Tennessee, Akron, Davidson and New Mexico State.

The non-conference home schedule really, really sucks. If we don't open the ACC at home we very well may go a month without a home game.
Hopefully ESPN and the ACC don't ***** us again on the ACC/Big Ten Challenge opponent because we really need a decent one.

A few things:

1. That non-conference schedule (the 8 definite real games above) is garbage.

2. Does anyone know who we play in the Big Ten?

3. Is the opening round bracket set for the Diamond Head Classic?

4. There is a chance we play Princeton twice.

Is this a joke? I love L, but why has he taken the Frank Haith approach to OoC scheduling the last couple of years?

I'm not for overloading the schedule with Kansas, UCLA, Villanova, etc, but can't we attract a couple of decent mid-majors and one high-major? Do we really need 8-9 filler games of garbage?

How would we play Princeton twice?

Isn't Princeton in that stupid Diamond Head tourney? That could be the second game.

The eight-team field is: Akron (Mid-American Conference); Davidson (Atlantic 10); Miami (Atlantic Coast); Middle Tennessee (Conference USA); New Mexico State (WAC); USC (Pac-12); Utah State (Mountain West); and UH (Big West).

Not many resume boosters in that field.

USC should be pretty good at least

We might not be part of the ACC Big Ten challenge. Every year one team doesn't get to play. Hopefully it isn't us.

Well that's dumb. We played Charlotte twice a couple of years ago. Hopefully that's not the case.

With our luck we will get them in that tourney.

We're in the tournament, match-ups just aren't out yet. The only team that doesn't get in is the projected worst team in the ACC.

Our only chance of a decent OOC schedule is a good Big Ten matchup and meeting up with USC in the Diamond Head tournament. MTSU has been a really solid team the past couple years so hopefully we face them as well.

That'd be 3 probable top-50 RPI games. Obviously not ideal but it'd at least be something.
