AIME RE-OPENS PROCESS
By Derek Young

Massive junior college defensive tackle Walvenski Aime of Fort Scott Community College has decided to re-open his recruiting process back up and de-commit from Miami just a little over a week after issuing his verbal pledge to the Hurricanes...

It was just over a week ago that Fort Scott C.C. defensive tackle Walvenski Aime committed to Miami, giving the Hurricanes one of the more massive defensive tackle commits in the country for the 2016 class. The junior college space-eater is 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds with a ton of athleticism.

Second thoughts have creeped into the mind of Aime, as he informed Scout that he was rescinding his verbal pledge to the Hurricanes.

"I have de-committed from Miami," he said. "I still have love for them and like the program a lot. It does not end it with them. I'll consider them going forward."

Aime was very forthcoming when commenting on the reason why he's decided to re-open his recruiting process back up.

"I rushed the decision," he admitted. "I let my family get the best of me. I need to take my time and make my own decision. I will be considering everyone and taking all the visits I need to make sure I settle on the right school. It could be Miami but I need to see more to make sure it is them."

"I'm keeping all my options open," he added. "All the schools are back in play. I will consider everyone. I'm just opening my recruitment back up."

The Florida native doesn't have any extensive plans for the future, but one official visit has been scheduled, which will be his first of his process since his Miami visit was of the unofficial variety.

"I will take an official visit to Kentucky," Aime noted. "It's the only other visit I have set up at this time. The Kentucky visit will be on July 17."

With other offers coming from Cincinnati, UK, Minn, Colo St, Kansas, and Iowa St. I could see where he might want to back off his Miami commit to go play for one them. His teammate just committed to Tenn and probably was paid a visit by the $EC bagman and Aimes is probably thinking that would nice also an UK has no problem with breaking bread. Notice UK is the only OV set up and it is for the summer, rather than during the fall I am thinking this is come now or we are moving on deal.

Go Canes

If you aren't going to be committed until at least like September or October, what the **** is the point in committing?

These kids are all idiots. If you don't know what school you want to go to, don't commit. What is the point of committing if you aren't going to stick for longer than at least a few months? I understand decommitting if something major happens, but all these commits and decommits is just ridiculous. Why on earth do we have like 10 2017 commits and like 4 2018 commits?

They really need to put an early signing day in like September or October or something.

Recruits can make more money by stringing out their crooting. If you commit early the $100 handshakes slow down.

Stupid.

I'm sure Minnesota, Colorado State, and Iowa State are just lining up with bags of cash...

Since when does being committed stop coaches from visiting you?

When did being committed mean you can't take your 5 official visits?

If a team wants a player they are gonna go after them regardless.

Keep rationalizing And making excuses.

If a player commits to Miami, he raises his "value". Plain and simple.

last week no one wanted him. this week it will be the end of the world that he decommited.

Exactly. The other stupid post about money is just as dumb as the one quoted above. I just loveb how people are quick as **** to trash a young man's character with money bs. You sure as heck don't see that happening when we get a verbal or commit from someone and we've got a dumpster fire burning with captain doofus and company at the helm. It would be very easy and lame for someone to question our kids considering our state of affairs.
