Gang... Here's an interesting article on how solid our commits are to the Canes.

As we enter the “4th Quarter” of the 2016 recruiting cycle, TheCaneReport begins a three part series, breaking down how solid each Canes commit is to the “U.” We are going to make it simple. We’ll use three self-explanatory categories. “All Cane,” “Solid” and “Flip Watch.”

Our criteria…

1. Committed for extended period of time (6 mo. +)? Y/N
2. Since his commitment, have there been persistent rumors of his courting other schools? Y/N
3. Are his public statements and media reports, trending positive to UM? Y/N
4. Is he considered a member of the class core? Y/N
5. Have there been reports of him recruiting other prospects for the Canes? Y/N
6. Has he been a fixture around campus? Y/N [More than 2 visits for camps, junior days, spring practices and games.]
7. Does he have any visits planned to other schools moving forward? Y/N
8. Has he signed a financial aid agreement? Y/N
9. Major miscellaneous factor(s) Y/N
10. Media projection to Miami? Y/N

Score 7 or above, prospect is “All Cane.”
Score 4-6, prospect “Solid” to Miami.
Score under 4, prospect is soft and on “Flip Watch.”

Today, we are going to take a look at our “All Canes.” You might be surprised by our analysis.

Many of our commits are probably about as solid as Golden's pillars are right about now

Thanks for the heads up on the criteria. If you apply the formula as of today we would retain the great majority of the class. They're pretty quiet now. Unfortunately as reasonable as the formula is it ignores the changing nature of the decision drivers of the recruits. For example what our won loss record will be, who gets fired, who the hire will be etc.
