Wanted to discuss the amount of spots we have available for the 2016 class. With the recent news(to me) that we awarded scholarships to vogel & badgley earlier in 2015...
... and the fact that we had signed 23 recruits to our 2015 recruiting class...
.. it is my belief that we have maxed out 2015. What this means is that we are limited to 25 spots for 2016, since no early enrollees will be able to back count towards to the 2015 class. I'll post some of the ncaa rules here in a moment that apply to having to count walk-ons awarded scholarships and transfers (willis) as initial counters.
Miami Hurricanes? odd couple turning into special pair | Miami HeraldThat’s why he rewarded Vogel — whose father Paul played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Oilers — and Badgley with scholarships at the end of last spring, and why both are pretty much locked into jobs moving forward.
