2015 RB Devine Ozigbo claims he got offered by UM

Yep. He told me Coach Montgomery & Brown offered Ozigbo and I told him we don't have a Coach Montgomery.... felt stupid when he showed me we did. :p It happens.
Anyway, clearly we're legitimately in touch with this kid at least, and offered him perhaps. This is a kid who had no fanfare going into last year and then exploded the 2nd half of the season. Perhaps we're getting in on him early, ala Kaaya last year.

Speaking of Texas, anyone know if that DT Mack gonna stay solid to A&M throughout the process? I remember reading he really liked us.

It sounds like he's as solid as can be with TAMU right now, but he is a classic super-volatile defensive tackle, the hardest position in recruiting to figure out WTF they're doing to do.

Who is the kids handler?

That only happens in South Dallas & Houston over here, he's a North Dallas kid :D

You mean Carter isnt still the bastion of academic excellence it was in the 80s and 90s?

Carter HS's school & football program is a sad situation. Falling apart. None of the innercity Dallas, Fort Worth, or Houston schools are any good - the schools fail, kids can't pass, they can't afford good coaches, and droves of talented kids just don't play anymore. Aside from lack of private schools that can recruit that's probably the biggest weakness in Texas HS football - some of our most talented areas are completely irrelevant and lots of talented kids no longer play football or are developed at all. Football is all about the suburbs now.

Well when high schools in Texas are building $60 million Stadiums, you bet your *** football will be about the suburbs.

Didn't Texas pass some sort of "don't pass, don't play" law years back? Is that what did in these programs?

My money is on players from Da bottom 6 out of 7 times, and vs Texas kids it is 7 out 7.

Yes, that's a significant reason. That's also why there are a lot fewer non-qualifiers... lot of inner-city kids don't get to play HS football unless they have a shady coach fixing grades, which does happen of course, but things are significantly different, especially after a basketball coach got caught grade fixing a few years back.

Article on rivals says he is flying in today and will be at the BBQ tomorrow after the practice.

He also wants to make an early decision for security of a scholarship.

Has 4 offers, has visited Cuse, Baylor, North Texas, Oklahoma State and Tulsa.
