Looking back on Miami's offense in 2015.
Most of last season deficiencies truly was on the coaching staff. Of course some of it was players fault as well. That's what I will focus on here. Player responsibility. No need to harp on coaching mistakes with a new regime. But I'll focus on player mistakes from each game and things that will hopefully look different with more experiance from our boys.
Key Note there's never been a perfect offense or defense but good teams limit mistakes we made many even during routs.
I'll give you guys the game link and yall track these specific plays for me. Let me know if you agree or disagree.
Game by Game Review
Starting with Bethune Cookman
Yes this game matters like all because there were so many mistakes Offensively when you go 3/11 against the Bethunes of the world it makes people wonder how you'll care against better competition. You should be able to put 70 on teams like Bethune honestly and we didn't do that.
Lot of dumb *** playcall should by James Coley, rewatching this game I counted* more than 20. That's too many plays to waste. Too many 2 yard passes to WR at least throw them a route that starts with them gaining 5 yards minimum ****!

Bad Decision on Joe Yearby here. Yes the LG pulled but he had to see the right side of the line get eaten up and that there was no running lane. If he went left he could've gone for 5+ yards. Instead two yard gain.

Mistake 1
13:14
2nd and 8
Players didn't execute. Good decision by Brad Kaaya, but he put the ball too high for Joe to make what would have been a 15+ yard play and with Joe's elusiveness he may have made the safety miss and scored right there.
Mistake 2
12:45
First and 10
Bad Aubible here. Looking at the numbers we have two TEs in to block. Just run the ball with****
Yearby here. Let him pickup 4-5 yards and keep it pushing. I'm okay with throwing short passes. Every attempt doesn't have to be 8 yards each attempt but let's not throw routes to WRs that will only net them 2 yards.
Mistake 3
11:34
1st and 10
Idiotic playcall should have ran this to the left. but Joe had opportunity to cut upfield and gain 6-7 yards. Should've ran right up Dobards *** North-South. Instead 2 yard pickup. But this play I put on the staff. So Yearby gets a pass on this.

1st and 10
Decent Play didn't execute.
Brad Probably should have hit Walton underneath right here for the quick first down here.

Mistake 4
8:31
3rd and 3
Bad throw from Kaaya behind Berrios.
Mistake 5
2nd Drive
Q1:2:23
1st and 10
I'm sure this was a designed Rashawn Scott deep ball but would like to have seen Kaaya hit Malcolm Lewis over the middle here. But you have to take a few deep shots each game so not too mad here.

Q1: 2:19
2nd and 10
Standish must make this block!

Mistake 6
Q1: 1:42
Didn't like the Malcolm Lewis decision in traffic could have been a pick.* Ball should've went to #23 Chris Herndon who would've scored 6 if your throwing the deep route.
Otherwise Mark Walton is open here.

Mistake 7
Q1: 0:06
1st and 10
Mark Walton I attribute this to freshman vision so I'm not too mad. Good initial read but didnt follow the two pulling lineman. Line gave you a beautiful hole to hit. He should have Run up 68s *** until you hit the 40 yard line numbers. Instead you went to the right towards #6 . To make that tackle.

Mistake 8
Q2: 8:51
3rd and 10
Rashawn Scott dropped pass.
Mistake 9
Q3: 7:41
3rd and 10
Give this ball to Joseph Yearby Kaaya. He's running free for a first down! Now we have to punt.

Mistake 10
Q4: 6:45
3rd and 10
Dropped Malcolm Lewis pass
Mistake 11
Most impressive runner vision wise this game was Trayone Gray. He hit the right holes and made the right reads each time he had the football.
Overall the playcalling this game stopped us from dropping a 70 bomb on these guys.
This team isn't as bad as people make it out to be little things are the difference in games and I pointed out a few.
I don't factor the playcalling but honestly going back and watching our team each game and play by play. You'll see how atrocious playcalling really was in each and every game. Half our plays developed and started behind the LOS.
