2015 Class: 22 commits so far...

Hurricane Warrior, this quote stood out the most from your last post:

Despite how incompetent some of you think the staff is

This implies that you disagree with the overwhelming majority of Miami fans. Do you honestly believe Al Golden has earned a fifth year at Miami, despite having the same record (28-21) as Will Muschamp against far easier opposition (ACC schedules vs. SEC schedules), a worse resume than Randy Shannon at the conclusion of his fourth year, going winless vs. FSU (0-4), never winning the worst division among the Power 5, leading us to yet another embarrassing late-season collapse, and having the team completely fall apart under his watch in the last 10 quarters?

Forget the buyout and the BOT's disgraceful apathy towards UM football. Do you still want him to be our coach after all this?

01Canes: I do not agree that Golden has earned his 5th year at Miami. Do I want him as a coach still? It's not my choice; but I will always support the Head Coach at the University of Miami and any player who suits up for us.

Sorry, I just realized that I didn't answer your question. I'm really torn but my answer is "Yes" at least for 2015, especially at this point (less than 2 months before signing day). If they don't win at least 9 games next season, then I think it should be his last. Maybe I'm overly optimistic but I honestly see us winning 10 games next season if all goes well and Brad is healthy. How this team responds in the bowl game and off-season will be very telling of where this team will be next year.

I couldn't disagree with you more, but I appreciate that you answered the question directly.

Only thing I'll say in response since we'll never agree on this is that I don't see how winning 9 games should be considered acceptable for any coach entering his fifth year at Miami. Winning double-digit games, beating FSU, and winning the ACC to play in a BCS Bowl game should be the minimum expectation for any coach in Year 5 at this program.

If someone here actually thinks that if Al Golden had a 4 year contract instead of 10, that he would still be here, I have some swamp land to sell you. Wait, on second thought, this stupid administration would give him a extension this year and then fire him next year -- like they did Coker and Randy.

I support players. They are family. HC coaches are paid whores, like Donna and Blake. They are not family until then prove to be Canes. Al has been throwing players under the bus ever since his boy started getting attacked. He is not a Cane. He is not family. He is just a ***** we paid for to many hours. He is a bad lay and needs the boot.

Here's where we stand right now

So if michigan hires Durkin Marcus lewis is likely to go there although UK is in the lead right now. He will probably cancel his visit to us or just not commit here IMO.

Scarlett visiting fsu and uf after us is horrible. Chad had been committed for a very long time but last year those two visits got him almost to flip and we were in much better shape "perception wise to recruits" as a program.

Dexter hasn't been 100% cleared to EE but the lousiville rumors are growing.

Michael Irvin's nephew Tim irvin is choosing between us auburn and Texas. Unless he really can't leave home I see him ending at texas. Note, if he were to choose miami it would be because he wanted to stay close to home and he loves UM & its tradition and not because of the current staff.

Chatman is visiting Arizona and ASU in January. Our best wr commit

Tyree St. Louis IMO is going to flip to uf

6-7 would do that to you.

IMO this would've happened if we finished 9-4 too.

We're going to lose Dexter Williams because the worst coach in UM history, coming off a disastrous 6-7 season, feels an ESPN 300 recruit with great speed who can help right away in the return game (Jalen Julius) isn't good enough to play here. On a team that went 6-7 last year. Staggeringly unwarranted hubris and stubbornness.

The rest of the class will fall apart because Golden was retained and we went 6-7. This program is dead. Anyone following recruiting over the next 12 months better brace themselves for constant disappointment and continued excuses.

How depressing.

One of the main concerns I have (mainly for the next coach) about our past two wrs classes is there is no speed on the outside. Brady, Langham, Cager, Chatman, and Gosier. Makes for a nice redzone unit but I don't believe any of these guys can consistently seperate off slants, digs, outs, posts, corners, etc.

Another major concern of my is the defensive line. The time for a JUCO Dlinemen has passed so are we planning to only add Mcintosh and Fines on the line. And fines is a kid we were not even that high on although Mcintosh is very legit. Patchan isn't a stick your hand in the ground guy and he's coming an acl. He would most likely be groomed for that jack role mccord plays. Jamie G. is a pure LB. It's pretty **** pathetic we had to redshirt Earl moore and Jelani hamiltion just to create more depth at Dline since we can't land anyone.

DB wise the last two years have been pretty **** bad too, aside for Jaquan. While we continue to let top south Florida db talent leave (Jc jackson, quincy wilson, Juwan dowels, davante Davis, Carlton davis, deandre baker, shelderick redwine, ronnie huggins, Tim irvin, Chris Lammons, Fenton, etc.) FSU has brought in 5 high 4* wrs in auden tate, davante phillips, Travis rudolph, ermon Lane, and george campbell (3 from our backyard).

And I have some questions for some of you guys to get some type of discussion going...

1. How many players do you think are miami caliber and which ones?

2. What player will the next staff develop into a NFL draft pick?

3. Most underrated recruit?

4. The three prospects you wished we would've offered this class:

5. Who stays and who goes in your opinion?

1. How many players do you think are miami caliber and which ones?
12: Scarlett, Williams, Walton, Jaquan, Milo, St. Louis, Perry, Chatman, Patchan, McIntosh, Washington, Jones

2. What player will the next staff develop into a NFL draft pick?
A new staff could work wonders with a bunch of these guys, but most probably won't stick. I'll go with Perry.

3. Most underrated recruit?
Chatman.

4. The three prospects you wished we would've offered this class:
Jalen Julius (in part to lock up Williams), Adrienne Talan, and Ronnie Hoggins. I'd add Tarvarus McFadden as someone who should've been recruited much harder, even though he was technically offered. Especially since Jaquan is likely the only South Florida DB we're going to land.

5. Who stays and who goes in your opinion?
I assume Scarlett, Williams, St. Louis, and Chatman will end up elsewhere and this class will be a dumpster fire. Jaquan (wants to stay home), Milo (friendship with Kaaya), Walton (Ice), and Perry (can play immediately due to atrocious LB depth) seem to have the best chance of sticking.

Golden wants this to be a Big 10 team and he has successfully done that.
