2015 Class: 22 commits so far...

Love when statements are backed by facts. What this shows is that we are getting their. 2016 Class will be the one that solidifies our status and start the monopoly on SoFl recruits.

If you get the number 1 cb and number 1 wideout all of those excuses go out the window... Those excuses was nonexistent for both coley and Howard...

So despite the issues that Miami has faced over the years, this staff has still managed to pull in more top South Florida than Florida, FSU, Alabama, LSU, and Louisville combined. Yes this staff has missed on some very important kids, but of all these kids only one was just a clear ***** up by this staff (Travis Rudolph). Miami was in the top 2 until the very end for at least 75% of all of these kids, I really don't know what more you expected.

Issues this staff has faced
  1. 3 years of NCAA investigation
  2. Negative recruiting from every school in the country
  3. Limited scholarships (This staff stated multiple times, that they were self imposing scholarships)
  4. Admissions (several studs were not offered simply because this staff knew they would not make it in)
  5. Lack of fan support (Kids don't want to play in a empty stadium)
  6. Broken relationships by previous staff (We all know this staff had to spend the first two years repairing relationships because the previous staff simply neglected them)
  7. Lack of competitive facilities (Miami was miles behind every major program in terms of facilities when this staff arrived)

See, now we're starting to get some firm positions taken. Things that can be bumped and laughed at later no matter how the class turns out.

Feder was a huge loss. Once in a decade super star, especially if Ohio St. plays him at DT.

Weren't we looking at around a 21+/- person class?
If so we are getting pretty full.
Would like to see some big names finish it off but at the same time - more than likely a lot of these guys will move up the boards throughout the next season.
 
Almost 40 WRs have been offered by the staff up to this point, and we have 3 commits in Spence, Gosier, and Chatman.

Spence and Chatman seem to be similar possession type WRs. I'm not impressed with either, but I don't know **** anyway.

Gosier has that intriguing size and athleticism.

There's always room for improvement and this staff can do better at the WR position this cycle.

I wouldn't look too much into the total we have for 2015 because by August I could see us have 2 back off of their commitment as well as us stop recruiting a few of the committed so they can look elsewhere much like how Turner and Edoard were done last year.
 
Mark Walton and the other running backs is the creme of the crop.Frankly this class looks like a typical VT North Carolina class. May get you to an ACC championship but that'S it. Seems to me like Golden is just tired of all of the crap from the south fl. Four star players and is mining the three star fields looking for gems in the rough. Can't say that I blame him.
 
Miami needs some defensive backs & Defensive tackles to finish this class off. Offensively it's an average class, but defensively can be great, they need Tyrek Cole, Jaquan, Tim Irvin, & Davante Davis, & Rashad Fenton.

I know SOMEBODY will commit to play defensive tackle. It doesn't have to be a big name just get a JUCO guy to plug up the middle. That's what Bama does.
 
I've been clamoring for more elite, blue-chip talent and we just landed (along with Dexter Williams) the most physically gifted recruit in our current class.

Absolutely thrilled to land Scarlett. Even happier that he said on ESPNU he doesn't plan to take any visits.

Tyree St. Louis and Brendan Loftus in one day is pretty sweet.
 
OL class is going to be reshuffled a lot before signing day. I'm guessing we really want St Louis and Loftus since they just came on. If any or all of Milo, Merrick, or Dowdy sign on then a few are going to get pushed out.

Should be pretty interesting to see who is highest on the staff's board.
 
This class still has a lot of room for improvement, but St. Louis is certainly a very nice addition. Glad he committed today.

I agree and I think you will see that happen. We are at 21/22 (depending on Walton) and we still need to take DTs, LBs, CBs, S. If we have a good year I think you will see us bring in some higher rated guys and just push out our lowest guys on our board.

I think we end up with a nice class if the product on the field is good.
