2013 all over again?

Idiots are going to be idiots no matter what happens today.

Next week people will say "Oh noes, we are in for a letdown against Virginia in a half empty stadium at noon."

Then "Oh noes, it is too cold in Pittsburgh and the team is not ready for it. This is their Super Bowl and it s trap because the team is looking forward to Clemson."

Then "Oh noes, this is where we finally lose, Clemson is better than us and everyone in Charlotte is rooting for the Tigers!" "Woe is me!"

I think a lot of people were rightfully skeptical after the performance against UNC. However, last week should have shut down all the negativity. I believe VaTech was a bigger test for us, especially mentally since we needed to beat them to take control of the Coastal. HUGE mental hurdle. Having cleared that, I think we could see something very special tonight.
 
I asked the same thing before the VT game. This team isn't. It in a different category from the 2009 and 2013 seasons. Either teams were this close to winning the coastal.

You're right and all of those will be valid concerns. The truth is we don't know how good this team is and if they will show up anyone that says otherwise is lying to themselves.

All you homers and I bet no more than half of you are season ticket holders and probably have never given a gift to the university but yet you're great fans because you rooot blindly. I am speaking the truth and will be at the game this week and next week win or lose. My issue is I don't know what this team has.

You already have your mind made up as to what is going to happen tonight. And you are basing it on a game that was played in Tallahassee 4 years ago under a different coach.

Look, there is no way this is like 2013, even if we lose. Fat Al is gone...a putrid defensive scheme is gone, and an administrator that chit canned our football program is gone...most importantly, the cloud is gone. This team is on the rise. Sure, this team is a year ahead of schedule of most folks predictions, but lets live in the moment and support our Canes. It has been waaaayyyy to long since we were relevant and actually had a quality team with coaching that can seal the deal. ND is not Bama, and i tell you what, if we were playing Bama today, I would still take our team. We are not completely back in terms of talent and depth, but we are **** good and on our way.

No. This is a different team, different coach, different era. I don't blame you for having PTSD from the past 10+ years, but trust me and trust this team that this year is unlike any other year we've had at Miami in a long time! We're more like the 99 or 2000 Canes, on the verge of something special. Believe that!!! GO CANES!!!

I meant in terms of facing someone like ND. We haven't gone up against many top offenses or defenses. Meanwhile ND has went up against four teams like so and, except for UGA, have blown them out.

I'm in no shape or form scared of ultra lame but I can see them getting by us. I'll probably do 180 when I get liquored up later on.

I did not expect the team to be where they are today. I thought that we wouldn't compete until next year and that we would win 9 games and the Coastal.
 
I mean if you keep predicting a loss like so many have week in and week out I'm sure you'll look like a genius one day.. but it's not going to be today CANES roll
