Ok, first let me say I made this list ****ed off and quickly, so please forgive any mistakes. Juniors and Seniors are important, obviously, let's discuss ours. Since everyone thinks we are stocked with elite talent, are we really at where it is most important, Juniors and Seniors??

So out of those two classes we have lost 20 of 50 players, 40%. Not very good. Not every player is going to pan out obviously but not having 40% of the two classes on the team has got to hurt. And some of the remaining 60% guys should never even had offers obviously, please be constructive, don't be a **** when discussing U players.

Yes, our scheme and coaching is part of it. Our choir boy, no fire energy too. But looking at these two classes is depressing and you can see a big reason as to why we sucked balls last night. It's not like Golden is going to say we have terrible players. I'm just searching for answers, any answers (human nature??) as to why we have sucked balls the last 7-8 years. Also, think about who we missed in those classes and add that to this :(

Sure we lack talent and not arguing that, still no excuse for coming out flat, uninspired and unprepared.

+100

I 100% agree with you both. But that is a pathetic team to field and is overall not Miami talent. Most of the talent from those years are playing at other schools or got kicked off the team. That has to be a big part of why we suck. Things like guys being able qualifying at LSU but not at Miami will have to change if we want to compete. Yes, I realize this is a school not the NFL but a couple of exceptions can be made per year, it's not like it's going to drag whatever school ranking down by taking a few borderline kids. The bad press and image of our football team is hurting the school more than the 1 or 2 % points higher graduation rate they might achieve. That's the state of CFB, we have to play or put up with what we are getting.

The problem with the talent excuse is that this season miami has only played 2 teams with equal or better talent this season, but some of those teams with less talent some are performing better

Let's see. The general consensus with this board was.

The faster we purge the better
Addition by subtraction
Another schollie opens up.

You can't have it both ways.

Let's be real also. Compared to when Shannon was here this is a weak *** Schedule. When Shannon was here he had to play a dominate VT, a talent Clemson, NC state with Wilson, BC with Matt Ryan, North Carolina with a full allotment of butches players, wake forest when they were good and won the Atlantic, virgina when they were good.

Right now in the ACC is florida state and Clemson and we don't have to play Clemson. In essence the play in ACC got worse, schedule got easier, and we have same results.

all of louisville best players are from their 2011 class, they really capitalized on shannon to golden transition. that scumbag clint hurtt.

Butch had minus 30 schollys and still fielded a better D than Dorito and golden...

He also played tougher schedules!!

But continue blaming classes duke/wake etc.. Would loved to have called theirs and elite

I would agree with ur post if we played in the SEC or Big 12. But in the ACC we have a two game schedule. We should have at least looked respectable last night. As Nigel bethel tweeted, we embarrassed the 305 last night. Smh.

coach basically by not answering last night said our seniors suck. when asked about talent his response was "i am not going to bash the seniors in that locker room" can't shine s$5t, especially when it has no heart.

he did not come off 10 years of mediocrity...mindset of the players were different.

Lol 30 schollys gone??

And your argument that a "cloud" was as similar to such a program crippling sanctions?!

Shannon's last two years of recruiting killed us. Golden came in with only a month to try to get anybody in that was not recruited. Shannon just sat on his as playing power trip with local high school coaches. We were losing players to other teams like LSU before this.

You could do this same exercise with our last 10 classes and you'll get the same results. We have good talent, not great, and certainly not elite. And 9-4 is a good record, not great, and certainly not elite. I feel our record accurately reflects our talent.

Funny, because noone is claiming we have elite talent. All we claim is that we have enough talent to not be embarrassed to 500 yards a game against crap offenses.

Our record might, but our performance does not.

how many times did our defense start off good and then morris goes 3 and out or turnover 7 straight series. if he scores its on a big strike. the defense which doesnt have depth was run into the ground.
