20 years ago those SOB's stole our 6th Natty and purposely blew out McGahee's knee

I may not have been a fan of the hurricanes back in 02’ but I still love seeing *****ing Buckeyes. Also love how they complaining way more than Michigan who actually has a right to be mad. Fruck OSU

Wow..seeing the thread title I was expecting a drunk porst, but then noticed it originated at 7:30 am. Well done OP! Can get with the Buckeyes pain, not so much with intentionally injuring #2. That said, a look back at the decisive kick:

The third down in regulation that Suckeye fans always whine about. That could have been P.I., but the refs were letting them play. Each side got away with stuff all night, and then to call that P.I. in overtime? Was just ridiculous.

You're right that the coaching was pitiful. Parish with the big punt return and we play for overtime instead of taking a shot downfield to Winslow. They hand no answer for Winslow in that second half.
Agreed. Which is why it’s nice to see the Football Gods work to deliver Karmic Justice to Taint. I can’t see Butch playing for OT, not with #11 at the helm and Winslow, as you suggest. Still and all, the slate won’t be wiped clean until we’ve dealt with them ourselves. And we’re a couple of recruiting cycles away from being able to do that, unless we hire Jesus as our OC. JMHO.

This broke our 20 year curse. We’ll be back soon

Felt like people said the same thing three years ago when Ohio State lost to Clemson on a fumble by Jordan Fuller was overturned in a 29-23 Tigers win—changed nothing.

Always a good day when Ohio State is out of the title hunt, but has no bearing on Miami being "back" or not.

Only wish the same was the case in 2014, as well—but will take those pukes getting hearts ripped out in 2022, 2019 and back-to-back beatdowns at the hands of Meatchicken the past two seasons.

May the mediocre Ryan Day keep not finding a way in Columbus.

A couple of their defensive linemen admitted a couple of days after the game they were out to injure McGahee. I think one guy who admitted it was Will Allen. They needed Willis gone from the game.

If I have time I will try and find those quotes.

Now they are crying like the entitled sorry *** bytshez they truly are.

These mother f-ers are the LAST SOB's who should EVER complain about officiating.

So let's all as Canes fans, raise our glasses, along with the great Willis McGahee and toast Ryan Day for leaving it to a whiffed 50 yard field goal that fell flat as the New Year rang in at the same time.

And I hope every O$U* fan ends 2023 the way it started.

MISERABLE!!!
I hope they get 20 years of bad luck like we got.

Yes, there was a questionable PI call that the Canes got away with earlier in that game, but that’s more than balanced out by the injury to McGahee and the unwillingness of the Refs to let the two teams just play through.

Monstrously unfair call. However, a better coaching staff would have been able to steady the team and prevent the theft. Butch wasn’t coaching us at the time, if you’ll recall. Had he been, I don’t even think we’re in overtime against that OSU club.

Still, Karma’s a ***** and it’s nice to see that God will not be mocked, even by Taint.
They were the dirtiest team I’ve ever seen. Soooo many late elbows while our players down. Every replay their players were shown, vividly, taking shots at our players. That Mike Doss hit was a culmination of what the refs had been letting happen the entire game. **** em…

I was at that game and will never forget the OSU fans chanting "overrated" at our players as they made their way from the locker room to board the bus. They should have quietly left like a thief in the night grateful for their stolen title.

I think Doss even said they were told to hit low.

I was at that game all those years ago when Porter, the ref, threw the infamous late flag after we had already started celebrating. That call is still one of those on one of the ESPN shows regarding the “worst calls” in college football.
My brother and I were in the end zone upper deck 100+ yards away.

Our section was cheering and hugging for what seemed like 5 minutes before someone noticed the "fix was in" flag.

Worst hangover of my life
