besides the penalties, baxa, turnovers, and sacks lol here are 2 philosophical decisions that have made this such a rough start:
1) Dan Enos' hardheaded take what they're giving you offensive philosophy. Unfortunately what they re giving you is the pass. However, Penos has decided to completely ignore the fact that he has a shaky at best oline and brand new QB, and has put the fate of these games(and season so far)in the hands of those 2 parties. This has lead to sacks that have demolished drives, penalties, and finally yesterday, turnovers that destroyed the team on both sides of the ball. .We have abandoned the run in every game except NC, only to be almost saved by Deejay Dallas when you finally give him the ball.
I think in games when youre playing inferior talent, you must become much more determined to run the ball in spite of stacked boxes. When Deejay gets through the first layer its usually a big play, he needs many more opportunities to do that even if it leads to many 1 or 2 yard gains. I dont mind punting the ball and playing field position until the offinse works out their kinks. Too many negative plays with sacks and yesterday turnovers that are giving up way too much field position and points.
2) Blake Bakers decision to go man much more than the last 2 years. This had already been identified and discussed and allowed too many game deciding plays yesterday especially in crunch time.
Our coaches are being way to risky with their schemes especially against inferior opponents. Sometimes you have to dictate the terms, our staff is super reactive and build their schemes way too much on what the other team does, and not what we're good at. We've said this at nauseum but we are the more talented team in 80% of games we play, its time to plan like it, and stop being told what to do by our competition to only get your **** pushed in with the wrong players being asked to do the wrong things..
Miami must move forward this season on our terms!!! ***** the other side
