Assuming Clemson wins tonight, two college football spots are set.

ACC and SEC champs are in.

Clemson losing tonight would mean we could beat them and Still get left out. It would be a foregone conclusion should Auburn beat UGA bad. In that scenario, I think they will lean Bama's way.

A big step the committee could take though would be leaving Bama out no matter what and basing it on their ****** out of conference schedule. I would love the tone that would set for future OOC games.

We should all be big Clemson fans tonight. Either way, they will be a colossal test next week as they try to get back to defending their title.

That Bama QB sucks. He can't even catch the snap from center and they really can't handle pressure of playing away games. They are WAY overrated. The thought that a team that lost to a two loss team could be considered top four is laughable. SEC needs to be left out of playoffs this year. UGA got slaughtered a couple weeks ago. Bama can't win its division. Auburn has lost two games.
 
More than likely after Tuesday, bama will not have a win against a top 25 team. I think a&m beats LSU tonight. Bama ain’t getting in.

If auburn and osu both win, they each will get in cars ethe committee will justify both of their teams strengths even with 2 losses.
 
Auburn's LSU loss didn't help them, but they appear to be peaking right now. They thumped number onenat the time Georgia and just took down college football's titan in Bama.

Their other loss, defending champion Clemson early in the year.
 
So everybody thinks bama is #1 right now, but one loss to #6 and they aren't in the top 4? They fall behind at least one 2 loss team? That seems farfetched, and frankly wrong. I'm not saying bama's the greatest, but if the committee thinks they're #1 now, what's the rationale for dropping them out of the top 4? Personally, I think the best 4 teams should get in even if they aren't conference champs. Why put a crap team in because they're conference champ? Miami could have lost to fsu, nd, and another team and beaten Clemson out for the ACC championship. Would that team deserve to make the playoff? And would your answer change if a 3 loss uf beat bama to "win" the sec?

I actually think the opposite. If Clemson loses tonight, there is an argument to only move us down to 4. OU 1, Auburn 2, Wisky 3 and then who else? Unless I’m completely missing something, we would have at least a reasonable argument to remain at 4 over Bama. Then it’s win and you’re in next week.

Well, let me ask you this. IF the selections are merit based, what has Bama done to deserve to get in? Name their best win.
 
It would be nice for Bama to be left out.

But somehow I think they're still a lock to get in.

And not because they deserve to get in...

4 best teams? How do you know who the best teams are? Should be the teams that earn it right? So the teams that win their conference have earned the right to play further. If you can’t win your conference then why should you represent the nations best?

Miss me with that “best team” and “eye test” crap
(Obviously we’re not talking in extremes like a three loss team winning)
 
Oklahoma, Ohio State and Auburn are all going to win their conference, and I don't think the games will be close.

I think Alabama will be given every benefit of a doubt. I'm surprised at all the posts detailing this result and that result, without recognizing that Alabama is treated like a special case, given the reputation of that conference and the recent dominance.

I wouldn't want to be in a coin flip with them. Let's put it that way. Hard for me to believe the committee won't find any excuse to squeeze a 1 loss Alabama into the fourth spot at worst.

I've got (1) Oklahoma vs (4) Miami and (2) Wisconsin vs (3) auburn after next wknd
 
bama will be ahead of us on tuesday, but not when the final rankings come out after we beat clemson

they have clemson and oklahoma 3 and 4, bama ain't staying ahead of them. and wisconsin has to be in the top 4. therefore bama will be 5 on tuesday.

1 clemson
2 oklahoma
3 auburn
4 wisconsin
5 bama
