It appears that anyone that has not been in our program has learned more about football and can apply it better than those learning whatever we are coaching. Wide Receiver perhaps is the most glaring example, followed by DB's. We have freshman receivers that can hold onto the ball and make great catches and then we have guys like Wiggins, Harley and Mallory that seem to forget what hands are used for on the football field.
We have Stevenson who seems to understand how to look back when the ball is in the air and we have DJ Ivey and Gurvan Hall who seem to not understand what they are trying to accomplish on the defensive side of the ball. It is uncanny to see that the longer you are under the spell of our coaches the less you know about technique and your position. We should probably just recruit the portal and hope one day they allow us to trade true freshman that we recruited after 1 year because that may be the most productive year they will have here.
