2-10 at Stanford

It’s funny cuz dudes around here act like Napier and Norvell as so much worse than Mario
I would like the see the scores for those games. We're 15-4 in our last 19 games. I assume we had a talent advantage in just about all. Really 2-11 before that?

@TrumpyCane you still believe it is 100% about talent or you think the rankings are just that wrong? I mean statistically speaking they are relevant.

Now the bigger question, how do the coaches at Texas am, Indiana, and GT look with more or less talent using composite rankings.

Trumpycane has no idea what you’re talking about or what this is a reference to

Wouldn’t be surprised if we lose a close game to Stanford.
All the remaining games will be tough battles til the end.Beck is done and Mario will go caveball now, shorten the games, play mistake free offense. Can we run it well enough to win is question now.

Man we lost 1 game bro. We were 10-2 last season 5-1 now. How we respond the next 2 weeks gonna determine what we are the rest of the way. Refuse to be compared to a team we beat 2 years in a row and went 2-10 last season. We are not tied at the hip. Louisville game was unacceptable but Bama lost to these man game 1, and they responded.

We have no excuses but to respond
Fair enough. Take the other two teams out of it. We are still not where we should be.

They are. To his credit, Mario has a clue on navigating & roster building in the NIL era. The other two are jokers & equally inept game managers. Napier needed a fortuitous INT from a 340-lb DT to save his job yesterday afternoon.

Their records say otherwise. Mario is also a poor game manager

Miami, Florida state, and Florida have losing records when they have a talent advantage based on recruiting composites over teams with inferior talent. They lose to teams they should beat more than often
What is our losing record? This year? Last year? Last five?

I mean we literally have a winning record under Mario. How many teams exactly do you think have had a talent advantage over us that we have beaten/lost to over the last 4 years? lol. I'd bet you'd say the vast majority (if not almost all) we have a talent advantage over.... so that's just an untrue statement. We don't have a losing record against teams with inferior talent, that's a crazy thing to say.

Not good enough of a record against teams with inferior records would be accurate. And thats' actually the thing I have also been saying - people act like Mario doesn't have hte team ready to play or can't win big games. I LITERALLY think it's the exact opposite. I never really feel like we have our worst games in the big game moments. We always have our worst games against teams we clearly should beat and then he finds a way to lose it. Thats literally why this year pre-season I was far more worried about Louisville/SMU/Pitt/NCSt than I even was ND/UF/FSU....

He was fired.

I stand corrected. We are 17-15 in such games. Thanks to this season so far.

Bro, under Mario we are 27-17. So by that logic you'd be saying we are 10-2 in games we are the inferior talent team... Which is obviously not what you are saying. So unless you're just taking away the wins against inferior opponents you deem we had no shot of losing too (lol), and games where the talent level is close...

The stat being referenced is against FBS teams, not that I agree with it since like you said it just rips out other games where we had the talent advantage, just fyi since I was confused too.

6-2 under Mario with a talent disadvantage
