Crazy, but I am pretty sure this is also my answer (in orange, number 5s on the shoulders), but I want to say it was '92 (or at least mine was). My mom also bought me a Dan Marino jersey that year. One was Christmas and the other was my birthday. We had Canes season tickets so I'm 90% sure it was the UM jersey first for my birthday so I could sport it to games.

That's the one. Could had been 92 for me as well. Such a long time time ago for me I don't remember. My second Canes jersey was the Nike, # 52 (Ray jersey) Got that one in middle school.

First basketball jersey I ever had was a Team USA, Charles Barkley jersey in blue.
