1st or 2nd year coaches right now

Name a championship coach who lost 2 games in their career from not doing the simple **** to close out a game?

Go ahead. Name 5. Nah, name 1.

None. What's your point? That Mario won't win a national championship? Yeah, him and 99% of all football coaches.

Was that your big flex?

At least Ted Lasso positively changes culture. I'm watching OL walking by TVD on the ground without offering a hand. Coach Lasso would have fixed that **** year 1.
Cannot agree with this enough. I brought this up in the game day thread and you brought it up previously as well. At least two separate occasions, our OL did not pick up TVD when he got his *** blasted. Francis got completely destroyed on a speed rush, and he stood there watching TVD roll around while the Louisville guy reached out his hand. In fact, I saw Louisville players help him up multiple times. Matt Lee left him on the ground at one point as well.

Not much camaraderie and culture change there, if you ask me.

I don’t care if TVD is an awful human being, he’s your QB. He’s playing on one leg. Pick his *** up, especially if you got beat and you’re the reason he’s on the ground. That disgusted me.

You don't have to like someone to do your job.

Every potential NFL draft pick is scrutinized extensively. They'll see that and it won't be looked at positively on either end.

Noticed cohen do that yesterday. I think it was even his man who hit TVD. Think he even glanced back. One of the RBs came over and helped.

Culture bro.

Never bought into the PJ fleck hype. He didn’t do anything extraordinary than his predecessors at Minnesota. Took a 9-4 team from his predecessor then went 5-7, 7-6….

PJ's wife has big booobs. That's why they keep him around up there.

Anybody who has a great record in year one is likely capitalizing off of a machine that was built before them. That new staff walked into a good situation. It's hard as **** to have any kind of legit turnaround in one off season.

Just like it takes time to rebuild a bad team, it takes time to put your stench on a good team. (i.e. Larry Coker)

You guys can't simultaneously blame a previous HC for a new coaches horrible record...but then turn around and not give a previous coach credit for a new HC's good record. That doesn't make sense.

It ain't hard to take over a 10-win program.
Don't get me wrong, a new HC can ruin it, but it certainly won't be in year one or even year two.

Their biggest fear is if Mario can’t do it, no one can…
This..This is why the fanbase is spinning everything for mario. He has been painted that he is the last hope for us, they dont want to accept that there is a possibility that he can fail here just like other coaches did.

Thats why alot of my frustration these days are directed towards the people in control because they literally did not change at all. They literally had the same process for hiring coker, randy, ritch*and now mario. They should be shamed by every fan, every media outlet for continuing to embarrass a historically great football program

**** of a post.

Let's not forget 2021, Manny's last year though.

Got beat bad by Bama and Michigan State. Both ended with only two losses.

The other three losses (UVA, UNC, and FSU) we had were by a combined 8 points.

The way people are handing out close loss victories to Mario is absurd, pure lunacy. The talk with Manny that last year was how we were lucky to get 7 wins. This year, in those close games, we were unlucky and should have 9 or 10 wins.
Funny thing about this too is the 2 point loss to Virginia was tvd 2nd start In college and first start vs a division 1 - P5 school. And if im not mistaken we missed a fg to win?

Then loss by 3 on the road in tvd 3rd official start and first start on the road..vs a rival. And if im not mistaken we drove down the field and tvd threw a pick that was tipped.

After that we won 6 of our last 7 games, 2 wins vs top 25 teams (1 road game vs the acc champions), should have been 7 straight if not for 4th n 14 which was his fault…But all of that was with a redshirt freshman QB taking his first real snaps in college lol and with literally everyone knowing that manny will be fired in the end even some players knew but the team never quit.

I had to reflect on that the other day lol because if im being honest we ***** killed manny for **** like what we are seeing now, but **** maybe he deserved some bail cause of the circumstances. We bashed him and the administration non stop, we cheered when guys on espn came for the program lol but now everything is getting an excuse. Just pathetic man

It’s embarrassing at times. I wanted to highlight this point because while everything else was on the money as usual, this needs addressing.

The people making endless excuses for Mario and defending the longer process/rationalizing close defeats are worse fans than the ones that call it like it is - a 6-5 team hampered by poor gameday decisions and an inept, outdated offensive approach. A head coach that’s under .500, and 5-10 in a weak, weak conference.

There’s no swagger, there’s no desire to be great again, there’s no passion or fire. There’s constant spinning of close losses and moral victories. There’s rationalizations of mediocre recruits, sheep-ish nature regarding 3-star evaluations, something that we saw under Manny, and under Golden, and under Richt, and under Shannon…

I criticize because I want to be great again. Others cope and rationalize because it not only makes them feel better, but avoids the hard-hitting questions when all the data is LITERALLY right under their noses. Their biggest fear is if Mario can’t do it, no one can…

All it takes is some innovation and actually winning on the field, and recruiting takes care of itself. The sooner y'all stop making excuses for .500 play (or in terms of conference record, 33% lol), the better.

Doesn't get much more real than dis right chea!!
