1st or 2nd year coaches right now

Jim Grobe won 11 in 2006, coincidentally with a great QB. But you're right, Clawson is a good coach for that kind of role. But we still have cavemen here yelling for him every time this comes up.

Missed that with Grobe. Thought Al Groh may have had one, but didn't.

Mario, IMHO, needs a spot like that. I don't see him ever getting over the hump. He's not an X's and O's type and it extremely rare for a coach to have success but not be an excellent OC or DC before.

So we're back to "______ ________ would kill it here even though I gots nuthin to prove it".

Let's use your logic. " success In last 20 years"

Duke ain't won ****. Never won **** since most of us been alive. Elko took Mario behind the woodshed with a bunch of walk ons and 2 stars at a school with no recent success to buld off.

The Con Leche is getting cold.

You’re getting confused. The standard isn’t “be better than Mario.” We’re supposed to be expecting championships.

That's where we disagree. "Quick fixes" are exactly that. Temporary. A dude like PJ Fleck comes in, gets everyone excited for a couple years, then settles in to exactly what the program has always been. David Cutcliffe gets a good QB and has two good seasons, eventually leaving as a 3-9 coach. It's the ADHD culture. You want it now. So you want TCU year one results and don't care that TCU won't even play in a bowl in year two.
Never bought into the PJ fleck hype. He didn’t do anything extraordinary than his predecessors at Minnesota. Took a 9-4 team from his predecessor then went 5-7, 7-6….

Which ones are actually doing great?

Everyone complaining about Mario please show me better coaches who took over **** rosters doing well in?

Louisville is 1 and their schedule is the weakest **** of all time
SMU? Who cares it’s a weak conference.

Now how many are struggling just like Mario. This is college football now. It takes a few year to turn around programs and rosters. That’s just reality.

Please share more coaches if you think of them.
Give Mario one more year before pulling the chute🙌

I have said Brohm is one of the best offensive coaches in college but yes he has taken advantage of a weak schedule.

He didn’t play fsu, Clemson or UNC. They played 2 solid teams Miami and Notre Dame.

Brown is a better coach than Mario. Will he be able to recruit enough to win long term. He can coach laps around Mario that’s for sure.
Miami is a doormat. Solid team my ***.

Yea I know. Youre a genius!

Cristobal is definitely worth 8 million per year. Watching our games brings tears of joy to my eyes.

Im glad he's got 7 more years left.

Technically, yes I am. I just don't like to point it out. Thank you for recognizing it.

Why do you care how much he gets paid?

This will be a fun thread. Here’s the answer to your slurpism + lack of college football knowledge.

Mario Cristobal is performing like Billy Napier. Not even accounting for first-year coaches like Jeff Brohm (10-1).

The above is p

To see how the athletic department can one-up themselves on sheer incompetence.
