I was the one that helped Danielle when she went through some hard times, not vice-versa.

Alcohol? I don't drink. And there's not a glass in that entire picture.

No self respect or ethics? You know NOTHING about me or my situation.

Begging? You obviously don't know the purpose of a go fund me page.

Be a man and take care of myself? Read my post #5.

"What's wrong with America" are self absorbed, cold hearted people like you that have no compassion or empathy for others.

Agreed. Society has fallbacks for people who struggle already. Homeless shelters etc. Life is rough. I’d get a job at McDonalds temporarily over begging strangers if I had to.

But if I had to guess, mid to early 20's. Old enough to have written some papers that really knocked some teachers socks off. And young enough to not realize, he doesn't know jack **** about life, what can happen, what it can do to you.

I honestly dont know you from Adam, you could be lying through your teeth.

I normally dont just give money to random people, but this feels different.

I've been through really hard times, had a really good person that raised me (not my mother) and was dealt a very ****** hand in life. But I refused to be defined by that, and in my stubbornness, I was extremely reluctant to ask for help when my family needed it.

Persevere, be resilient, be relentless. The end of the tunnel may still be dark, but the sun will rise.

Don't think I haven't looked into those options. I hope all of you that think I'm "begging" never have to go through this, but if you did, maybe it would change your opinion of me.

Thank you so much. Some others on here have sent something also. It just hurts to see a few on here that feel that they have to insult someone when they're down. Oh, and I grew up in the same town as RVA Cane. He'll vouch for me.

The lack of empathy and compassion from some in this thread is really disappointing, and yet not surprising. I respect anyone’s decision not to contribute; however, there is no need to judge or belittle others who may be going through a difficult time. You’re not tough and remember, life comes at you fast..

You can argue till the cows come home whether this is the proper forum but It’s no wonder why people (men in particular) struggle with asking for help or with being vulnerable. idk OP but he’s been a part of the community since 2018 (if not longer) and probably feeling a lot of shame for asking, no reason to pile on. I sent some, not much but if it gives an even little bit of pressure relief in form of topping off a gas tank or whatever, I hope it helps. Hope things start to go your way, guy.

I didn’t grow up there but yes, you’re in chesterfield county/metro Richmond, VA where I used to live. What you’re going through could happen to a lot of us. Godspeed.

All this. I don’t get these people kicking a guy who’s down like this. People don’t have to donate or participate or agree that the way he posted for help on here is how they would have done things but to do as these guys have done is just shameful and despicable.

I have always had sympathy for the working and want to be working poor and middle classes or any classes for that matter just trying to support themselves and their families.
