CIS needs a sub forum for great things the Canes did.....

Last Millennium

Bama and usc and notre lame etc have areas in their facilities dedicated to games and championships where all the pictures are in black and white. But we can’t talk or remember stuff that was a lot more recent cause dudes want to slam about how “long ago” it was.

Barking up the wrong tree....This dude grew up in Miami listening to every single sorry *** Canes team from the 1960s on a transistor radio....

1992 is like yesterday to me....

Was there on the field in the open endzone standing next to Danyell Ferguson's mom, those two hits at field level where the most violent football collisions i had and have ever seen. That game was such a physical battle, rough start with the Vanover return but Torretta hung in there all day and made the perfect throw to Lamar. Beating Charlie Ward was special.

game just finished own ESPNU. 19-16 what a great game! man, there were some vicious hits in this game. I was at that game in the OB!
Awesome game I was there too. When we actually had a great D, it was fun to watch much tougher kids back then.

I was 10 years old, sitting in the upper deck for the first time because the WEZ was too full. I kept fearing the stadium was going to collapse after Andrew hit it.

I had just moved to Miami 2 weeks before Andrew hit. 16 yo at the time, now 43, but still remember things vividly about that game and day. Was a fan prior to that game but had never been to one before, lived 1000 miles away. Probably to this day the most talent I have even seen in person for both teams. Vanover taking the opening kick back. The Darth Vader song, Ibis rocking the stadium. Saw a get well Rusty sign. Incredible and great. End of season Sugar bowl, not so much...

4th and 16?

I was biting may nails watching the game. I have not bitten my nails since 1989. It was so nice to watch THAT. That was fantastic football. Both defenses were animal d’s. Gino’s dime to 36 was fantastic and 47 looked dynamite. Loved the 98 between the U with some of the d linemen. 91 and 86... woof.
