1991 Cotton Bowl

The best part was the announcers saying they couldn’t see how Miami would win in the pre-game commentary.

I remember that the CBS idiot talked craps about the team at halftime.

Ah, the game that caused the "Miami Rule" to be created. It is the only time I ever remember two personal fouls being assessed against one team on the same play, which was our first punt return after Texas went 3 and out on the opening possession. And the punt went out of bounds so there wasn't even an actual return.

It was 1st and 40 and we converted. Good times!
Here’s a good one regarding “the Miami Rule.” They showed the team 13 unsportsmanlike violations that would be called in the future nine of them involve Miami celebrations

We were sitting behind the Miami bench at the Cotton Bowl.

True story...,during the 4th quarter Lamar Thomas sees my buddy talking on his cell phone. He literally climbs into the stands and asks my buddy to use his cell phone to call a girl he wanted to hook up with after the game. We were laughing our asses off.

One of the worst beat downs I’ve ever witnessed a team take. #2 Texas was running their mouths the whole week before the game. Robert Bailey set the tone and they never let up.

i remember the opening kickoff. we were surrounded by texas fans and they were screaming like **** on the opening kickoff.

bailey knocks the dud out and they went silent in an instant.

we stayed every single minute of the game. it was cold, it was wild, it was glorious.
