1986 Hurricanes Highlight Film....

mmmmmmmm

i understand. i have every single one up in the attic on VHS in plastic containers 1988-1994...and 99-2006 even the double AA cupcake ones
Likewise LOL. I have 4 huge plastic containers in my basement full of games on vhs from late 80's to the early 2000's. I don't have the heart to get rid of them.

That's such a great find but admittedly very tough for me to watch because of the way the season ended. That Miami team should have destroyed that PSU squad. The defense was suffocating and the offense rolled up yards yet we somehow found a way to lose that game. Just the memory of that pedestrian Penn St. team celebrating after being dominated on both sides off the ball still makes me sick after all these years.

That one made me sick.

But the loss to Boston College - that one broke my heart! That little *******!

Disagree, IMO the '86 team is the best Hurricane team ever, still not over that Fiesta Bowl loss
That ‘86 team was so good. Throughout the regular season no opposing team could get within a TD of them. Only three opponents got within 2 TDs.

The fact that they were so dominant is one of the main reasons why the “Vinny took a dive” theory still persists to this day. The way that Fiesta Bowl went down just doesn’t make any sense.

Frank Gore is in my opinion the best ever but the 02 team had Willis McGahee rush for 1753 yards on 282 carries for a 6.2 ypc average and 28 TDs. Willis even added 27 receptions for 355 yards for a 13.1 yards per catch average. That's 2108 total yards from scrimmage and 28 TDs. My point is the 02 team was not exactly wanting at RB.
Gore was starting over McGahee before his knee injury which truly shows how special he was! Because Willis was also a bad MF!

Could you imagine a defense having to face that duo? In their prime and a healthy Gore without the knee injury? We would have destroyed Ohio Taint. Well we should have destroyed them anyway but Coker got outcoached/*****slapped by Tressel. It took us until the 4th quarter to counter the fact that Taint was pinching their DEs and crashing down inside. We didn't attempt an outside run until it was nearly too late. Then once Willis started ripping them for yards outside they went after his knee. Despicable scum! Then I had to actually sit there and watch Tressel talk about the BS PI call on Glenn Sharpe saying how Sharp interfered with Gamble. That brings me to the subject of the most vile and disgusting poor excuse for a human being Terry Porter who was obviously paid to do what he did. The most egregious thing about it was how the sports media just gave the guy a pass. Also, where was the head referee after that play? He should have overruled Porter immediately. 7 seconds after the play to decide to throw a flag when he was standing under the goalposts and the side judge who was right on top of the play signaled incomplete????????

That was the biggest travesty in all sports history! That was literally the most premeditatedly criminal call in the history of competition and you can get out of my face with the whole "Hand of God" Maradonna thing because that doesn't even compare.

there are a few throws that game.... that ummmm, make me question things...

There was a time when I couldn’t get enough of the old highlight films and complete game videos on YouTube. Lately, though, it’s tougher and tougher to watch. It’s almost like two different programs when compared to the last 15 years or so.

My formative years were in the 80s, so this also overlapped with the Marino glory years with the Dolphins. Similar feeling with them (and that team has been in the wilderness even longer).

No real point to this; pity party over. Lol

Jerome was being held (ESPECIALLY on the last play) the entire game. I talked with Butch about this numerous times. Both he and JJ were in the refs ears about it the entire game to no avail.

Agreed. If we would of had 04 Brock in 03, champs!
We will disagree on this, if used correctly in 03 no way in **** we lose to the **** vols
