I had never seen this one before (and Ive seen most of them from 81 on...) and this is one of the very best.

Seriously, the NFL Films-style shooting, their music, and the Rocky IV soundtrack, Elton John (for Bennie and the Jets), young Jimmy Johnson, Michael Irvin, Alonzo Highsmith, Jerome Brown, Vinny, they really captured this season/era well. For those of you in South Florida and who went to UM in this period, you were truly blessed to have lived through this. It was a special time.

But yeah, only way this film could've been better if they would've just gave the doggone ball to Highsmith at the end of the Fiesta Bowl....

I've only seen 83, 87, 88, 89 and 91. Where have you seen some of the others, especially the early 80s ones?

Edit: I just went through that guys YouTube videos and he has them.

that guy (Joe Tolstoy) has some real gems. I have some of those years on VHS tapes, lol. From about 81 to 91, Miami did those highlight filrms NFL Films style, from 92 on, it was more or less self-produced by the school, and didn't have quite the same production value

John Facenda narrating Miami highlights is nirvana for me, lol

Absolutely. Bermuda Triangle (Best LBer Trio in CFB History), and that Purely Insane DL with Medearis Screaming around the edge like a lunatic...Good Luck with that. That team only gave up 9.6 pts a game. And when you factor in who they played, it's pretty crazy.

I really think that 89 team if Jimmy was the coach would've been even better than it was. That was truly a loaded squad he left for Erickson

and that teams Dline was insane, you had NFL guys like Jimmie Jones and Shane Curry coming off the bench

If Craig Erickson doesnt get hurt, I dont think they lose a game

The 1991 Miami Hurricanes were, are, and will forever be the greatest college football team of all time.
