Always thought it was pretty pathetic and underhanded that the supposed greatest team of all time had to resort to a fumble-rooskie to get on the board against the Canes that night. Lame.

Fitz was hurt and questionable to play that game. He completely dominated NU's center. It's fun rewatching that game and counting how many times Fitz just throws that dude out of the way and blows up the FB dive. I think he used to post here?

FITZ , on the top of the list of the forgotten over shadowed hero’s of the days of rings .

If he didn’t dominate we LOSE that game , Nebraska was banking on the greatest center ever yes EVET in CFB to establish there running game.

FITZ knew this game rode on him to play bigger than his maybe 230-250 pound 5’11” frame .

Picture an unknown RB size player holding BAIN to no sacks or tackles, this was exactly what happened that night.
