That was a very good UM team that only lost 2 games against strong Mississippi State and Texas teams....both were away games and they got porked by the refs (sound familiar?).

I remember it well.

the texas game there was a phantom holding call that nullified a touchdown pass that would have put Miami in the lead. And then MST game had a motion penalty that prevented a go ahead score. We were two plays from being undefeated. Amazing.

You’re right, we crushed them fairly good in our NC season. I just remember Howard not agreeing to sechdule them more because that sort of reaction was not normal for him. He was so ****ed.
