Does it matter though? I think we all said it must be a perfect ACC season since the offseason to make it to the CFP because of how weak the conference is.

Win the games, win the conference (beat the **** out of ND too) and we'll prove we're the best come CFP time.
 
I love Miami fans....all of a sudden the bad weather hurts us but somehow propels Clemson to being a functioning offense in the rain. The rain literally turned them into armed forces team and guaranteed one dimensional. They were already one dimensional when its dry. Now in the rain you telling me they only can run with absolutely no chance to throw???

Clemson offense has been very turnover prone (some were called back because of penalties). If the rain is that bad, I wouldn't be surprised if Clemson QB fumbles it a few times trying to run it or throw it.

Look guys. Miami played the first half of last season in the rain. I know because I was there getting rained on. And this is what the offense produced:

Notre Dame - 27 points
South Florida - 47 points
Florida - 26 points

Our average all of last year was 30 pts. It'll be fine. If you remember, the weather was great in the games we lost.

Spread them (and any team with a strong DL) out in a 4WR formation (personnel can vary) and see how they respond. At the very least it will thin out the box, make OL calls a bit more clear, and force the defense to declare pressure.

Hopefully we've moved on to Cogdon at LG and will make the changes necessary to have the best line moving forward.

The rain does not "propel Clemson to being functional." They are one dimensional today and will be one dimensional on Saturday night. Therefore, it has minimal impact on their offense. On the other hand, it could impact or limit our offense, which is multidimensional. Therefore, the weather disproportionately impacts Miami more than Clemson.

With that said, we should win by 2 scores.

Two things:

If Mensah's range is impacted by the range, we can dink and dunk to open up the run game.

Secondly: Jacory could have been near great with a decent QB coach and decent money thrown into defense to keep him on the field.

Two different issues.

Disagree fully on the first. On the road, tough environment, good opponent. Plenty of opportunities to leave Clemson a better team than we arrived: OL play. Establishing the run. Tackling. Penalties. Maturation would be a huge win.

As for credit: Probably right. It's early. We control our own destiny. Bump em. We don't need credit. We paying CASH.
 
Are we going to be stubborn and run duo with Fletcher right up into the weakest part of our team all first quarter?

None of that matters is we do what we’re suppose to do. Ie 11-1 or better with a Conference championship.
 
If we go into Death Valley and handle business in front of Herbstreit and Company on the National Stage, it will send a message.

I'm begging this Coaching Staff not to let this team play with its food during this game.

I'm sure it's more a reflection on me for not be able to decipher this but, what?
 
Looking forward to see if we finally take away the easy access throws this week. Pretty much all we have to do to stop their offense.
