And I agree with that. Winning out should be our main concern, but I’m a forward looking person so I do like to strategically root for our Canes.
 
Perception means very little in terms of our goals. We win out we’re in the playoff. We lose another game including ACC Ship, we aren’t.

Bury FSU and move on
 
IF we win out, every voter will know that we played our first game without Perry. It WILL come into play. Early season loss, on the road to a good team, with a different QB. We'd be 12-1 if we win out, and no one would say we don't belong.

I am disappointed we moved down after what I felt was our best performance of the season, but these things almost always work themselves out.

The only ranking that matters is the one from CFP Committee. These polls from coaches and press are just for show on Saturdays so games can be hyped up.

UCF, for example, is ranked high based on how they finished last year. They haven't played anyone to deserve #13. Beat Pitt big deal. The Committee will place them around #20 in their 1st ranking. I don't get Kentucky either. Yes they're undefeated, but their marquee wins are Florida and South Carolina. Again, no big deal who cares. Those teams are suspect. Just helped preseason.

In all fairness, we haven't beaten anyone to deserve to move up. We had our chance with LSU and failed. With our ACC opponents rather weak this year, we will only move up when other teams fall.

Our only hope is VT beats ND this week and doesn't lose until they play us. The only other possible marquee win would be Clemson in the ACC CG.

Just need to keep grinding and dominate!!! Everything else will take care of itself.

We win the ACC it’s guaranteed we are in the cfb playoffs what world do you live in where you think that’s not the case??
