After the spring portal additions there are now 17 players on this rosters who have been voted to an All-Conference team at some point in their career. I couldn't imagine there is another team in the nation with this much proven and nationally recognized talent on their roster. On paper this is a playoff team, now it's up to the coaches to get the most out of this insane amount of talent.

We wont get an easier schedule for awhile and the time is now for Mario to take the next step. Its Year 3. Is the roster perfect? No, but its good enough to run through that crappy schedule we have. 10-2 is absolutely doable.

20 plus years of mediocrity leads to being cautiously optimisitc. Fact is, the team is loaded and playing a soft schedule. This is a 12-0 type team. Let’s see if they can do it, players and coaches…I’m putting money on them winning the ACC and making the playoffs..

Bear in mind, if we're counting HM, then we're replacing 7 guys who made All-ACC at some point:

Smith
Cohen
Lee
Taylor
Kinchens
Williams

So using HM we had 16 All-ACC players on last years team. Same thing.

The difference for this years team is dependent on the guys we're bringing in to be level up difference makers to produce at that higher level - Ward, Martinez, Brown, Baron.

The ACC or Tobacco Riad Conference will still find a way to name none of them all conference 1st team even if the Canes win 10-11 games and compete in the ACCCG. The partiality is obvious in this conference and the hatred is strong!
