15 million

How does that make our $20-$30 min look like nothing? It looks to me like they understood the market.
SEC makes 20-30 more per school every year than ACC. Swofford and that TV deal is a Anchor for the whole conference.

Theoretically speaking, anything over $7-8mill a year is overpaying for any coach that’s never been to the playoffs.

But due to the circumstances, Miami has no choice but to overpay.

If Ruiz, Mas & Lemonis are willing to pay whatever, I hope Mario milks them for a $12-15mill a year contract.

If he takes anything less than 10.5 per, he’s low balling himself, make them MF’ers pay as much as you can possibly get & then some. If they’re convinced he’s the guy, then they have to pay him, he holds all the leverage, he needs to take full advantage of it & them.
Man, I really hope they pony up and pay it..

We just lost all negotiating leverage. The market has been set. We should have made our hire earlier when we had the chance because we are not going to pay anywhere near that.

I don't see him winning it all. I could be wrong, but we'll see.
Yeah, we'll see. I think he'll recruit better than he did at ND. I don't think the Irish are the same recruiting lure they once were.

This is what I meant by getting someone with hardware Kelly gonna do good at LSU.. that ginnie in a bottle type coach we desperately need I know everyone wants Mario but I want someone that really knows how to build a top program and Kelly has

Brian Kelly was making 3M in base salary plus a cut of TV money. He was making (reportedly) a little under 10M in total compensation, but I guess fluctuated annually depending on TV money.
Yea the school allowed him to be paid direct for outside stuff like shows ,appearances etc.
He’s not making much more now than he was unless he meets the incentives in the new contract which amount to about 4.8 million a year..

lsu just made sure they won't win anything for 10 years
