Baylor jumped us after beating okie state. Which is fair we haven't played anyone

UGA and fla still ranked. 2 loss ole miss ranked 16...

Ole Miss has a really good team

No argument, they are talented, but when you are .500 through 4 games do you deserved to be ranked 16?

You do when your two losses are to #1 Alabama (whom they almost beat) and #1 2 FSU (whom they almost beat) and then you go out and destroy another ranked team. Now I get that we can argue whether UGA and FSU are/were ranked too high, but I am actually glad that the people doing the ranking are actually taking into account who they lost to and how close those games were instead of just saying 'oh you have two losses, you shouldn't be ranked.'

Texas shouldn't be ranked, but outside of that I think the poll is fine.

First reactions. Texas A&M got way too much credit for beating Arkansas and Arkansas only dropped two spots?

Washington and Stanford both nearly lost last night that would have helped us
But they do play Friday

TA&M didnt get too much credit for beating Arkansas, they had already jumped to #10 last week just because they were a 3-0 SEC team.

Yep.
Arizona and UCLA teased us last night, both should have won those games and knocked off Washington and Stanford

Moving on up is fun when you're just sitting around with a hand in your pants. Absolutely love it!

It depends on who they've played.
In theory, they could be 0-4, and still be the fifth best team in the country.
This early poll stuff is nuts. Too many holes.
It's impossible to "rank" 25 teams only 4 games in. Especially when a small portion have played each other.

Exactly! If you play the big boys you have a chance to be ranked really high, but if you lose, too bad. Its called risk reward theory. They shouldn't be sniffing the top 25, none the less 16, this early. If they finally win some big games then they can move back up. So they beat now 25 Georgia and Wofford by 25 points, and blew two games with 3 touchdown leads in both and are rewarded with 16 ranking. This is what is wrong with the new college football ranking system.
