14 days until 8/1

Chris Stock asked AD Dan Radakovich about the baseball scholarship number for next season and years beyond (22 scholarships for next season)

He did not give an answer that baseball fans want to hear. He also sounded nervous and seemed like he was caught off guard by such a valid question. When asked about the scholarship #'s after the 2026 season. He said we can increase the scholarship amount for one year, and then maybe another year, you take away a few scholarships. That is a response that comes from someone who is clueless about baseball and the disadvantages we have.

Baseball is the one sport that should be fully funded to the maximum it can be funded due to our disadvantage with tuition

I mean the AD should be well versed on what it would take for a sport to succeed but JD also should be beating down his door and desk asking for max resources for his program
Well they both suck, so there is that. Ya'll remember all the Radapologists on CIS..

Friends and Family operation... sad

You understated it, i.e. "he thinks" the number is low 20's. Embarrassing that your AD doesn't know the new scholarship # for his 4 time NC baseball program.
He knows the number because he is the one who tells the coaches the number. You're reading it the wrong way. The concern is his response

I was told we have kids on campus for OV's. I haven't seen anything personally, but I will trust the word of the person and keep digging for who is on campus.

These are the recruits on OVs across the country. None of the players I highlighted as must gets are taking OV's to any schools currently (Maybe Miami)

One down!!!!!!!! Let’s keep pushing!!!!!

I want to bump this thread as Miami has likely landed its 2nd to last commitment of the cycle.

Overall run-down on the class

1 LHP
6 RHP
1 C
1 OF
2 INF
11 Total Commits

I said this would be the class to prove to me if JD had what it takes to be our coach and recruit at the level we need to. I will say he has somewhat met my expectations. I'm very happy with the class, but we missed some key whales who could have turned this class into an excellent one. (Also, these prospects have a very high chance to go pro) Two key players we missed on

JD and the staff did a great job winning battles in the state of Florida and going national for some good prospects. Overall grade for the class is an 8/10. Very good grade for JD's first true class. I would expect 2028 to be even better if we can take that next step this season, like I think we will

No updates on Landon Green, I know he's someone we would for sure take.

That last potential commit is Joshua Priest, a top-20 overall player. His recruitment is Miami, Vandy, and UGA. I think we have a good chance of landing him. I expect to land his commitment.

He hit two HR's at the WWBA championships against our commit, Ryder Simon
